Just wondering if you can drink on tramadol? Or if its like most opioids where its a bad idea. Doc didnt say anything about slowed breathing or anything of the sort when combine with alcohol. Just it would make me more drowsy. Im not prone to seizures and never had a problem with them even when coming off benzos(2 years on them) but the fact people say you can have grand mals is troubling to me. Does this happen often on doses of 400mg in 24hours?

Last thing i wanted to mention is ive been drinking a shit load the last 4 days to numb pain in my knees. I dont feel to bad considering but anyone think i should not take this pill tommorrow becuase the liqour is leaving my system?

Btw id appreciate anyone stories about drinking on tramadol. thanks.

You should never drink while on opiods/other CNS Depressants. They exponentially increase the risk of death. Taking opiates, even Tramadol which wouldn't be considered an opiate, but is similar. it is an analgesic but is in between Codeine and Hydrocodone on strength. Opiates alone can induce respiratory depression. Alcohol will multiply this effect. Not safe.

yeah im aware this is the case with regular opioids like oxy and what not but i wasnt sure this applied to tramadol or not

What he said is totally true, alcohol seems to be dangerous when mixed with anything. From coke to opiates it multiplies effects and can combine to form a new drug in your system (in cokes case). Not safe and not advisable
