Yeah, yeah, I know, don't say it.

Is the thymol dangerous? Everything else in there seems to be non-toxic, but thymol says things like seizures, convulsions, respiratory failure.

I can't find much on thymol, or how much you have to drink of it before it's dangerous.

Methanol is not listed on ingredients, but since it's denatured/not meant for consumption, would they be required to list methanol in the ingredients if it were in there?

n/m found some vanilla extract

yes, im a pathetic fuck and i dont really care

im out of homebrew, because on my days off, ive been too fucked up most of the time to go get the stuff to make some

btw, vanilla is normally 60%, and mint is 95%, correct?

This one doesn't, just says alcohol. I think it used to say 60% (same brand), but I dunno.

I wouldn't be that desperate, but I'm on benzos, and benzos suck without any alcohol.

Remind me of middle school shots of mint extract lol havent thought of that for a long time. At least you will have minty fresh breath and burps for a bit.

I know bums/streetpeople who are hard up for a drink, will resort to Listerine/Scope for a buzz but I have never understood why when Thunderbird or any other fortified wine is cheap as dirt. If I remember correctly one of the former Presidents wives [Betty Ford, the founder of The Betty Ford Clinics] would drink mouth wash as a last resort so your in high company. lol just kidding

Be careful with prolonged usage I would imagine damage could be done. I used to drink mint extract [I think it was like $1.39 back than] and as you can see I am fine :D :D :D

I'm not worried about mint extract/vanilla extract, they don't have any additives.

It's just that listerine and stuff have all these additives and I can't really find out WTF they do. I mean, I found symptoms for thymol (AFAIK, the only harmful additive), and they sound bad, but they don't say what DOSAGE of thymol it takes to begin to become dangerous.

And I'm under 21, which is why I normally homebrew, but I polished off homebrew that was supposed to last me like 4 weeks in 3-5 days, so I'm out, and it takes ~2 weeks per batch, so I'm out, cep t for 8 oz. of homebrew which is supposed to be 10%, but probably more like 4-7% since I think I fucked this batch up, so I needed a little extra, I don't remember when I drank it (5OM maybe) or when it's gonna kick it, but we'll see if we're fine now.

I hear ya

You could always pour yourself a 'Thin Mint' Listerine + Kaluha, j/k lol.

I cant find anything specific about it either just sites stating that mouthwash can cause complete failure of multiple organs.

Also I would buy mint extract, but dunno if it's as good of a deal. Like, the vanilla is 2 oz., and the mint, IIRC, is either 1 oz or 1.5 oz for a cost of a tiny bit more, so it equals out to be about the same cost, even though it's higher proof.

But I could be mistaken, last time I had it was when I was like 3 years younger and shoplifted some huge 4-5 oz bottles, which, compared to the brand from the supermarket I usually go to, tasted like utter shit and we vomited.

Or it could've been we had no glasses and were trying to chug from the tiny opening of the bottle, instead of just pouring it into a glass and downing it like a shot.

EDIT: Bastards changed the formula. It says extract, so FDA says the alc content must be 35% or above, but water is listed before alcohol in ingredients, so it's either 49% alcohol (unlikely), or the minimum 35%. :(

I wonder if people drink that stuff because it's easier to steal?? Anyway, I know what you mean - why would you resort to scope when you can get a bottle of Mad Dog 20/20. Oh well.....
Do yourself a favor and stay away from mouthwash, while I have no proof I have known people who have tried it and ended up in the ER. I don't know the extent of what happened or if there were any other drugs involved but I wouldn't doubt it was the mouthwash. I thought I was the only one doing shots of mint extract in the home ec. closet....

wow you must be really hard up for alcohol. even before I was 21 if I was desperate for a drink it was always possible to get it somehow. you can steal an md 20/20 or 16 oz or 40 from a gas station, or always play "hey mister"

drinking anything but real alcoholic beverages is totally not worth it in my opinion

^ Yea that most likely why, most obvious answer slips my mind. Oh and dont worry I not abusing my mouthwash, I just gargle no drinking here.
Whoops, I wasn't very clear in my post, I knew you weren't drinking that stuff....

I'm not exactly a smooth talking guy. Do they report you to police for trying to buy an alc. beverage, or if you hand them an under 21 ID, will they confiscate it to make sure they have your ID to prosecute?

I heard one horror story about a guy who tried saying he left his ID in the car. The cashier was an undercover cop (everyone in our HS bought liquor there with no ID), and followed him out to his car, and busted him for trying to buy alcohol underage.

As for shoplifting, how likely are they to prosecute if you get caught and say something like 'dude, i'll pay for it', and failing that, run?

I haven't shoplifted for ages. I suck. I maybe shoplifted 2-5 times in my entire life, and it's been a few years since I tried it.

Dont start now, its not worth it for a bottle of booze [maybee it is to some].

Before we had fake ID's in school, we would just chill out front of the liquor store/grocery store waited till somebody who looked 'reasonable' enough came along and said psssst buddy think you could do me a favor and buy me a bottle of Vodka, keep the change. Damn, thats a long sentence.

Yeah but if you sit too long, the owner calls the cops (specially if you ask someone and they go in and narc), plus how much for a bottle $9.99? So would $15 be reasonable?

Meh...

It's not that hard, don't you know anyone who is 21? Is it really that hard to find a bum and give him 5 extra bucks? I am not trying to be a dick, but c'mon! Alcohol is generally the most consistently attainable inebriant around.
