I have taken drastic steps towards/
removing you from my heart.
There's been no mention of you in my journal -
at least not for the last five pages or so...
(and)
I've limited my fantasies to three a week -
Though I haven't been so sucessful with my dreams.
Tuesday, I paid good money for a ring through my nipple -
Thought maybe I could push you out while he/
pushed the needle in...
Then suddenly, last night, there I was -
Back in your arms and back in your bed...
Stopping, I suppose, "just in time" -
Though it seems it wasn't quickly enough to keep you from/
sliding back into my heart.
