Intent: To remove myself from the day. (The past month has been total crap, and I just needed a day to unfocus. To admire beauty. Which, I suppose worked for me)
Well. First off, some background info:
Senior in High School.
200lbs
6'1"
Worry/Anxiety. (As stated above, the past month has been crap. Filled with legal threats from separate parties. Woop)
Also, not only was I 'removing myself from the day', the main goal was for me to experiment different dosage levels combined with Energize Energy Pills. These are slow release capsules that last 8 hours approximately, so I decided that they could keep me somewhat awake. Nooowwww. Onto my 'story'.
-0:30
Arrive at my first period. Computer programming. What an exciting class. But, as the day so far had been turning out, I decided it was the day to experiment.
After talking with my friend next to me, whom was designing a side scroller helicopter game, I headed out to the restroom.
+0:00
I eventually find the restroom, (I rarely go to the restroom during school. I'm a clean freak) and grab my two Dramamine containers. I take all 24 in two swallows and then take my 4 Energize in one. I was prepared for it all.
+0:04
Get back to the classroom and sit back down. Talk to my friend some more. Watch the kids in front of me play games and play Hardstyle (a sort of electronic house that is 'Heavy' I guess)
I start doing some work; knowing I would soon be unable to really do anything. But, luckily for me, it was the day I had no mentally challenging classes. So, I continue work.
+0:40
Then it hits me. Hits me like a ball smacking a bat. Lights fade and come back, over an over. When I stare at a computer monitor, everything around it becomes dark, and vice versa. My arms feel heavy, and I start slowly looking around the room. I see a door at the end of the room, and a face quickly hides itself. I spin around and look the opposite way to see if it was a kid to my right. Everything seems as it was, and I slowly move my head back to the left to look at the door again.
Nothing. Just a reflection of some computers.
+0:50
I start lookiing around again, and land my eyes on my friends game he was making. I stare at it, not moving for 5 minutes. He eventually snaps in front of my face, and asks me if I'm stoned. He said, 'Bro, are you stoned? You look stoned'
I reply, very slowly mind you, 'Uhhh.. No? Maybe? I don- *pauses to remember what I was saying* t know?' He just rolls his eyes and goes back to his project. He asks me how to fix some of his code, and I just stare at him. I'm telling you. I was basically a zombie. Haha.
+1:10
*RING RING RING RING RING* goes the bells that say class was over. But, was it? The bells sounded off. They sounded about an octave lower, and seemed dragged out. I look around and see noone moving. My friend reaches over to my mouse and I angrily swat it away. I have never done this to anyone, and I felt like a jerk. Well, people started standing up and leaving, so I guessed the bell was right.
I slowly walk into the hallway, where I am greeted by a giant multitude of people moving around. I unfocus from everything except the ground, so I can see where I was going. Out of nowhere, I hear my voice screamed in my ear. I very slowly turn around to see a different friend at the other end of the hall waving. For some reason, I found that you have a heightened sense of hearing when your same is spoken. Another mental note. That might not last long lol.
Well, on the way to class, I enter the 'commons', where we have the 'grand meeting place', or as I call it, 'shit central' (I have a complete underlying hate towards the school I go to. It's for stuck up rich snobs, not poor semi-homeless chaps like me) and all I hear, is voices.
Every single voice around me was crystal clear. But, the fact there were over 200 kids in the one room, a lot of them yelling, all it was, was white noise to me. I quickly scamper to class.
+1:25
I finally reach my next class; jewelry making. I know what you're thinking, jewelry making. For a dude. Well, it wasn't my first choice. Anyway, I enter and sit down.
And proceed to staring at my friend and anyone else. I found that if I catch someone's eye, I can't seem to look away. Man, I was being awkward lol.
+1:50
So, the staring finally ceased after I stared at my current teacher for about 5 minutes. She walks over and asks what I'm doing. In a very quite and slurred voice, I respond 'I don't know'. She laughs and gets me some materials to work with, and explains what to do. Right away, I forget it all. Just gone. So, I sit back down, and poke my friends shoulder, asking him what to do.
He starts saying something, but I swear I couldn't hear, so I say 'What?', and he repeats himself. I just nod and say sure.
Feeling like a total idiot, I just start doing what he was doing, which was spinning some wax on a razor blade tool to make it your ring size.
I sit here for the next 10 minutes doing this.
+2:05
And then, it hit me again. But this time, it was more of a piece of paper running across your lip.
Or rather, a razor blade running across your finger. Pain jolted through me, and my hand flew like a Phoenix, smacking my friend. The pain instantly subsided, and I was left looking at a non-bleeding slice on my finger.
Dumbfounded by this strange event, I stand up (which took two tries. Jesus, did I feel heavy) and worked my way to the restroom. I popped in, and headed towards a stall (as I really had to go) and went number 1.
Before I continue, other people whom have taken Dramamine report the inability to urinate, as it can cause 'urinary hesitation' (on the warning label)
I personally have never had such a problem, and do not understand this in other people. But hey. Everyone is different, no?
And, back to the second creepiest thing to happen all day: the mirror.
Right after relieving myself, I head over to the mirror to see how stoned I really look.
I am greeted by a freak. Again, that could have been my vision playing tricks on me, but I mean, my pupils were fully dilated, taking up almost my entire iris.
That's still not the creepiest part.
My pupils, formed into X's, or rather, plus signs, and they appear to be melting. I stare so hard at my eyes, trying to figure this out. I began tilting my head at different angles; it didn't really change much.
Anywho, I leave and head back to class, where I sit and stare at my fingers. The middle and ring finger on my left hand begin twitching uncontrollably. After I get them under control, my friend whom was sitting next to me, began asking if I was going to do my project, and that he'd help me sand it on the industrial sander. I immediately declined (which was smart, as with my uncoordination, I'd probably sand my own hand off)
I explain quietly that I would do so Friday. He says 'What? Speak up!'
Apparently, all my speech had become a quite drawl. I repeat myself a bit louder, and he just shrugs and talks to his other friends.
The bell rings again, sounding even lower than last time. It's strange that only the bells and the beeps of my watch sounded different. Everything else was normal.
+2:15
I work my way towards my third period, which happened to be English. On my way there, I stopped, glanced at my watch, and stated aloud 'What? Why am I going here?' and begin working my way toward my fourth period; science.
On the way to science, I again stop and glance at my watch. And, as before, I start heading back to English stating 'Why was I headed that way?'
I repeat this at least twice, asking people around me what I was doing. I probably sounded like an idiot. It was weird because I seriously forgot everything I was doing.
Well, eventually, I arrive at English. Where the by far creepiest thing that has ever happened, happens.
+2:25
I sit down in a chair and almost fall over. Balance again is not your best trait when under the influence of Dramamine. Quickly, I am joined by another friend, whom right as he saw me, stated 'DJ Wubsly, (This is my 'DJ' name, as I do DJ every once in a while) you're high, huh?'
I just slap on a cheesy smile and slur, 'Nooooope!'
He quickly shakes his head and laughs; sitting down next to me.
Our teacher stands up and talks and talks. I remember something about questions, but paid no attention. I couldn't, for the love of god, focus. Soon we pulled out this wonderful book, 'Of Mice and Men', and begin reading the ending.
Now, I am 100% sure that if I could focus, I'd be crying. The end of this book was horrific and made me want to kill the author. But, that was the next day that I actually read it.
This day, my mind flew off its rails.
My hands, and arms, turned orange. Boy, was I freaked. Apparently I didn't want anyone to see my miscolored skin.
But then I glanced down at the table and saw pink marks where my fingernails had just been. I timidly turned my hands, only to find that my nails where a hot-pink color.
Again, having the same feeling of insecurity, I balled up my hands and hid them against my face. I started getting funny looks from people as I made weird noises with my mouth. I would inhale air, to then push it through my cheeks, making a farting sound.
The rest of this period was a blur of meaninglessness.
+3:40~
The bell rings again. It still is messed up to my ears. I consider asking my friends if they were hearing it too, but scratched that idea.
I slowly, very slowly, got up and grabbed my backpack. It weighed at least two tons to me. Why all this weight? There was hardly anything in it.
I creep out the door into the hallway again to hear voices rape my ears. The sheer volume, combined with the small screeches caused a sensory overload. All I head was a deafening 'bum' for the next 10 mins. Working my way to the line for food, (which I believe was chicken. Again, I can't remember) I lose the friend that was with me in English. (I'm a very lonely/unpopular kid. I like it haha)
I stand in line, talking to myself, while staring at the lights. Why is it that lights attracted me so much? Strange.
Eventually, I grabbed my food and sat down outside, (after looking around the lunch room for 20 mins) scarfing it down like no tomorrow. It was peaceful and tranquil out here. No more loud voices or really even people. Just me and my thoughts.
+4:00
After thinking about pretty much nothing, I head back inside where I am greeted by shrills that even a cat shouldn't hear. I drop off my tray and attempt to say 'thank you' out of good will, but all that comes out, was 'thhhhaaaaann-'
Scurrying as fast as my legs would let me, I head over towards my science class where I sat and put in my earbuds. I still can't remember what I was listening to, but odds are it was Modest Mouse or Monstercat.
People walked by saying hi and stuff, but I couldn't respond. I felt as if I was finally coming down.
+4:20 (heh weed joke)
*BRIIINNNGGGBRING*
The bells sounded even worse now, hanging on to the end of the note. A multitude of people rush by and scare the crap outta me. I stumble up and head into my science class, where I finally felt the effects wearing off.
Boy, was I wrong.
The second I began writing, I knew something was off. Let's see, my handwriting is smaller than usual, there is a yellow glowing hue around my words, my fingers are still pin- Wait, WHAT?!
That's right. My letters were glowing. I wrote a tiny bit and just stared at them. Watching as it changed as I moved my head back and forth.
Nothing made any sense there-forth.
The rest of class flowed by with nothing interesting happening.
+5:40~
Class was out. Thank. God. School was out. Thank God twice!
Waking out of the school with yet another friend (one I catch a ride with as I have yet to get a license. I'm lazy. And besides. I wouldn't drive anyway. Not in this state of mind at least)
We head back to his house to hang out. He needs his computer to be fixed. Well, screw that. I couldn't do anything. I took some of his computer's parts and put them in a bag for safekeeping.
As he lives with his mother and father, I run into his mom. Now, first off: his family is the bomb. Awesome people. Well, first thing she asks is if I was alright. Apparently I was acting differently than usual. I just said I was tired and headed off to the washroom to take a peek at my face to see if I looked different still.
Yep. Full blown pupil dilation. I thought this would be gone by now. But, it wasn't. So, I try to act happy and stuff, like my usual self. Man is that hard. I'm usually a computer tech-god when I'm 'normal'. Right now I was a 'Gtfo and let me rest'. So I suppose again, Dramamine makes you irritable.
+7:20~
Eventually, a family member arrives and picks me up.
We went out shopping for some sore throat medication (as I had a sore throat from the previous day) and bout some Mucinex Extreme stuff. (Made for sore throats) and then preceded to Hastings to buy music.
+9-9:30~
I go home and try to sleep, but every beeping device I had, watch, clock, and weather meter, all sounded off-tune.
After an extreme session of listening to music, I fell asleep. But it wasn't over yet.
-The Next Day-
I wake up early. This is a first. I felt so great and energetic!
Today was going to be great!
*BEEP. BEEP. BEEP'
My alarm sounded. How interesting though. It sounded low...
Then, all the memories of yesterday crashed in my head. Apparently the Dramamine had lasted and was still affecting me.
'Aw f*ck' I swore out loud. How was I supposed to get through today?
Surprisingly, it was easy.
I took a quick 10 minute bath, hopped out, and headed downstairs, where I was greeted by a blazing alarm that had not been turned off. It sounded farther off than any other alarms I head that day.
Quickly, after getting to school, the Dramamine's auditory effects wore off and I felt normal. Minus one thing.
My pupils were still fully dilated.
And they were all day. Besides right now, 1:30am MST, where they have finally started receding.
And, that's where I'll end it. I'm sure that other things went on, I just probably can't remember them properly.
Before anyone says anything, yes, Dramamine is dangerous. So no, I do not recommend you trying this at home.
No, 1200mg, or 1.2g is not an extremely high dosage, it's more of a moderately-high dosage. If I did my math 100% correctly, then it should take about 38g to meet the toxic dosage for me. (If I am using rats as the constant)
Because, I think it was like 500mg to every 1 kilogram. But again, I could just have my math wrong.
And another thing, Dramamine acts differently for every person. I had a friend who tripped so hard, he thought he was talking to an Elvis Presley - Batman. And he only took 600mg.
I also highly suggest a trip-sitter to make sure you're safe. You really don't make any good decisions when on this. You don't get faced paced thinking like on other drugs. On Dramamine, you just blank out.
It is technically a deleariant you know.
Anyways, I hope this report was alright. I did, in fact, have quite a bit of fun when I look back on it. It's more of a personal enjoyment though. Everyone has their own preference.
Aaaaand!!
Goodnight!
