DPT and convulsions

I'm interested in experimenting with this compound, but I found the particulars of the experiences reported in Erowid's "Health problems" section concerning. Most of these experiences were third person, as the convulsing individual was non-responsive or delusional. Having read one or two that described simple unctrolable tremors.

I was wondering what the community's experience with this compound has been, and if any of you have personal experienced these phsycial symptoms? If so, do you feel they warrant medical attention or should you just ride the wave?

I just posted in another thread about this compound so I will post in yours while I'm on the subject. I know of one person who told of a terrible body load with this compound...leading him to go into a kind of shock where he needed someone to convince him he was going to wake up fine. I haven't had any problems with this one....just do not underestimate the sheer power of it...the mind is a powerful thing. If you convince yourself of something while tripping hard on something like DPT.......you really start to think it is true. Make sure and have someone around you...or really close by.

In my experience, the tryptamine buzzing (both audio and physiological) is of a different quality and more pronounced with DPT. I noted muscle tremors which were quite startling when I first used it. I could see how these might lead to a sense of panic in an anxious person and suspect that some of the adverse experiences resembling convulsions might come under that heading.
After I got used to the tremor, I began to find it quite enjoyable. If I stretched my body, I could test the sensations and it gave me some interesting insights into my posture. The tremor reminded me of the vibration of a washing machine with a slightly eccentric load. I could gradually slide with the vibration.
The tremor, and associated oscillatory effects are obviously dose related, and the safest way to minimise the risk of convulsion, or other adverse problems, is to move up gradually on the dosage.
It is a splendid material with an outrageous kinkiness along a slightly different trajectory to good old DMT.
Have fun and take care - Pipp.

I get leg tremors like a fatherfucker when I do 5-meo-dipt. Very kundalini. Was also apparent, but less so with 4-aco-dipt. Did not have this problem with DiPT though. Send me a sample of your DPT and I'll tell ya if it's just you or not -_^

have you read the "DPT primer" on erowid? it´s pretty good. it`s in the DPT vault

if you do as adviced for first time, start with 25 mg insufflated, then wait 30 minutes then insufflate 25 mg more, you can`t go wrong.
just to get your feet wet so you know what`s it about. DPT varies alot person to person.

You will see that the people with the disaster reports on erowid all took 70 mg+ in one go. often first time trying it.

These two comments pretty much sum up how my last excursion with DPT felt hahah...I took 120 mgs intranasally, and the body load consisted of muscle vibrations that felt like it might as well have been a washing mashine on spin cycle with an off center load, vibrating across the laundry room floor. Except it was mostly concentrated in my arm muscles, and it was very very startling. I rememer at one point I was saying out loud that I have read about muscle tremors of this strength with DPT and that it will pass, but it was frightening at the time considering I was peaking.

After the initial intensity subsided, it was indeed a very nice kinky, interesting, and worthwhile experience. It lasted almost 4 hours in total, and apart from the 45 minutes at the beginning of the expereince where the effects were truly unique to DPT, the tail end of the expereince was reminiscient of a high dose of LSD, and I could detect a decidedly carnal overtone to the whole experience, even though all I really did was writhe around on a bunch of blankets floored by the intensity of the whole experience. It was quite different than DMT if you ask me. I really want to smoke or IM DPT if I do it again, insufflation was grrrrrrossss!
