Tasted this obscure wild card twice so far.At the time I have just gotten familiar with DOM and found "boy this is the shit,forget all other psychedelics!" (sound familiar BD & yaesutom?).So I knew the nature of the DO's (DOB as well),but besides the PIHKAL entries for the Alephs only MU's were in the literature.The unpredictability wasn't of particular concern for me,I was in a very adventurous mood then,discovering the world (not only of psychedelics) in young age is the most genuine adventure I can think of.So I was very curious to taste something with this awful thio in its name.The compound has a slight sulfide odor,I somehow liked it but then,I'm a chemistry freak and don't mind smelling tobacco like Pyridin or the somewhat fresh smell of H2S.The trials were at home,cleansed flat,on Saturdays and unfinished deals were taken care in advance so I had a free headspace and some standards in works to reduce unpredictability.
1. Trip:
T +00 : ingestion of 5.0mg DOT Hydrochloride solution.5 hours earlier I have eaten for breakfast only a banana,a joghurt and some orange juice (always note eating parameters).PIHKAL gives 6-8 hours as duration so I expect something short.
T +20min: yes,already feel it,some sensory enhancement.Maybe just an alert.
T +40min: objects begin to shift slightly,body feels very comfortable
T +50min: while the effects are clearly felt now,the onset seems very delayed,2C-B with its similar duration surely would already be on Another place.
T +1.25h: I'm pleased that it is starting to get stronger now and that I have not taken a too small dose.I note some weak CEV's.Ooops,and a diarrhea.But it was just that,not at all annoying as it could have been.
T +1.5h : I noted "peak achieved",but it wasn't,it seems a bit hard to pin the drugs course.CEV's surely here now.
T +2.0h : okay I have reached the full effects now.Interestingly I have not written one word about the intensity ( + whatever,I usually care) ,it must have been totally unimportant,what counted were the nature of Aleph,its there or it is not.Erotic appeared almost as good as 2C-B.Interestingly though this was more like a (real) wet dream relived,and on expanding this further I found it not unlike the brainmovies described elsewhere,I could actually recall past dreams,the whole nature was a bit dream like.And I was very relaxed,nothing of an amphetamine nature here (unlike DOM),only a mild Tremor.I put on some music,hell again I didn't note what music,just that it was very impressive to listen and facilitated a very special inner voyage with wonderful CEV's.This chemical has a special tune to it in that it gives you this "archetypical nature feeling",you are part of the earth and you feel very close to Mother Nature-as you feel close to your mother.An earthy vibe 2C-T-7 afficionados probably know.This DOT does not distort reality,it just puts you gently in Another reality,that of a shaman.There was some tiredness through this plateau which ended at
T +3.25h: its a rather abrupt drop from here on,no body discomfort noted on the comedown
T +4.0h: objects are still shifting,its a gentle aftermath,I'm relaxed and tired.At
T +6.0h: back to Baseline.Very successful and promising trip,looking forward to taste again.

2. Trip:
T +00 : 7.5mg Aleph-1 ingested,several weeks later on empty stomach.Bitter taste!I write this down differently now as it was different from the 5mg experiment.25min,feel it,45min +1 and a good amount of nausea but not worrisome.1h +2,erotic is proved good again.Peak at 1h45min.Effects somewhat similar to the first trial,but I have noted only a lot of BP/pulse data,the compound seemed not so interesting this time.
Again a diarrhea at 4h,again just a technical happening.At 6h I was still on the plateau,it didn't seem particularly interesting to do something and use the trip for exploration.8h,still on the plateau-hmm,PIHKAL says it should be over by now I want my money back (humour was still okay then).I take an Acetylcystein tablet,this has shortened a T7 trip before.I'm starting to feel a bit uneasy another 2 hors later.Watching a Columbo brought back the good spirits again,boy is that guy smart and funny.When he solved his case,at 13h, I really started to worry as I was still where I was before and since this was bedtime I wondered if I would find some sleep.I didn't,in fact there were lots of though nice but distracting CEV's.At 14h I decided enough is enough and aborted the trip with trifluoroperazin.Initially this put me in the Horrortrip territory but on the next day I was more or less back to baseline,tired but able to reintegrate.

Conclusion:
Great compound,nothing overwhelming but the variability is a big downside.I doubt it would be smart to put this into the broader public (read also the PIHKAL chapter),altough it is often described as "uninteresting",there are also those very intense trips,who knows how it plays out in a 100x bigger test group.At least no physical dangers noted.The diarrhea seems a constant but I didn't care,must be a typical thio property. The recent thread has rekindled my interest in this stuff again,I'm rather sure I will take it again but with a better aborter at hand as the perazin wasn't optimal.
