apparently .001mg scales usually aren't accurate and in terms of harm reduction i want to do it the safest way.

after searching dosage i see liquid dosing is HIGHLY suggested because it's active at like 1mg. so i'm curious what the best solvent to use is. what type of alcohol to make a phenazepam solution. how long is the solution good for?

For phenazepam, propelyne glycol + some type of alcohol is your best bet. Should dissolve no problem in that mixture. Just make sure your starting amount of powder is a known amount. I.e, 1 gram. I would go for 1gram in 1 liter of fluid. That would give you 1mg/1mL.

Dosing made easy. #winnnning !

i was gonna do 250-500mg of phenaz

why propelyne glycole? and not isoprol? and why + some other type? i can't do all one type of alcohol? and what strength should the alcohol be?

anyone have experience? i wanna do everything with the most harm reduction possible

Propylene glycol is sufficient IME, it wards off growth on its own. It is pretty cheap and easy to use.

You can find all the details in a phenazepam thread... Propylene glycol is a great solvent for this is the bottom line, it is what is used for diazepam and other benzo preparations in fact.

If you ordered your phenazepam recently, beware that there is lots of cut product floating around...

what do u mean it wards off growth? is there a certain % i should get? i'd imagine 100%...that's safe to consume even tho it says not to....even tho it'll be only one CC

how long can i keep it...thats a lot of phenazepam and i don't use it much

^ I think what he meant by "wards of growth" is that it does not allow bacteria to grow in the solution, thus allowing you to keep it for a long period of time.

Propylene glycol is not PEG - PEG is polyethylene glycol. Both are food-safe in reasonable quantities (don't drink a litre of it) and used as thickeners for things like cough syrup. Straight propylene glycol is kinda thick and syrupy, and it can take a while for the phenazepam to dissolve, so sometimes people dilute it with ethanol or another foodsafe alcohol.

Isopropanol is not really considered food-safe but in a pinch it will work. Remember that taking big doses of alcohol will interact with the phenazepam.

Stick with 99% or better solvents, water will cause your phenazepam to crash out of solution or not dissolve at all.

Glycols and alcohols inhibit bacterial growth and are very stable. Phenazepam is really stable too, so your solution should last for at least a few years.

^Oh yes you are correct, PEG is polyethylene glycol, not propylene glycol. Thanks for correcting me, I sometimes get the two confused.

It should, in theory, just dissolve. However, as was already mentioned, if your product is cut/diluted, there's no way to know if the cut will dissolve in PEG. There's also no way to know the amount of cut, if there even is any.

Tread with caution.

It seems like PEG is the safest one to use. Some report that IPA is effective, but because there are conflicting reports on that, I would stick with PEG.

Is there any specific reason why you don't want to use PEG as your solvent?

idc if u use rubbing alcohol. i mean. 1ml a couple times a month aint gonna kill me. does it need to be 100% though? i know there is a couple times of rubbing alcohols

There are many types of rubbing alcohol, ethyl alcohol (ethanol), isopropyl alcohol, etc.

I know 91% isopropyl (IPA) is a commonly found one. I don't think that 100% IPA is very easy to find at all, IIRC, the highest percentage you can find is 95.5% or 96% (Everclear is 95%, but it's not IPA, it is ethyl alcohol).

That being said....I'm still not completely sure that using IPA is a good idea in the first place. Maybe a mixture of PEG and IPA? I say play it safe and use PEG if you're dead set on using a solvent to dose your phen...

I'd just get some propylene glycol, you can find a decent amount for around $10...

From wikipedia.. come on man these answers can be found in a matter of seconds on google.

Propylene glycol is used:

As a solvent in many pharmaceuticals, including oral, injectable and topical formulations. Notably, diazepam, which is insoluble in water, uses propylene glycol as its solvent in its clinical, injectable form.[5]
As a humectant food additive, labeled as E number E1520
As an emulsification agent in Angostura and orange bitters
As a moisturizer in medicines, cosmetics, food, toothpaste, shampoo, mouth wash, hair care and tobacco products
As a carrier in fragrance oils
As an ingredient in massage oils
In hand sanitizers, antibacterial lotions, and saline solutions
In smoke machines to make artificial smoke for use in firefighters' training and theatrical productions
In electronic cigarettes, as a vaporizable base for diluting the nicotine liquid
As a solvent for food colors and flavorings
As an ingredient, along with wax and gelatin, in the production of paintballs
As a moisture stabilizer (humectant) for snus (Swedish style snuff).
As a cooling agent for beer and wine glycol jacketed fermentation tanks
As a non-toxic antifreeze for winterizing drinking water systems, and in applications where the used antifreeze eventually will be drained into the soil, water, or a septic system.[6]
As a less-toxic antifreeze in solar water heating systems
As a solvent used in mixing photographic chemicals, such as film developers
In cryonics
As a working fluid in hydraulic presses
As a coolant in liquid cooling systems
To regulate humidity in a cigar humidor
As the killing and preserving agent in pitfall traps, usually used to capture ground beetles
As an additive to pipe tobacco to prevent dehydration.
To treat livestock ketosis
As the main ingredient in deodorant sticks.
To de-ice aircraft.[7]
As an ingredient in UV or blacklight tattoo ink
As a lubricant in air conditioning compressors.
As a wetting agent, used to determine drying time in paints and coatings

i'm still stuck on what to go with....curious which would be the most efficient...easy to obtain...and what most users would do....i just dont wanna tryst my scale with 1-2mgs

i read all about these week long black outs lol
