OK so I take fairly high dose of dopamine agonist called Trivastal (piribedil) which is a D2/D3 agonist. The dose is 100-150mg/day. Now, I've started using Concerta for my ADD-Inattentive and at 36mg/day I feel very very anxious and overally not good. It definitely doesn't calm me down like Adderall did or makes me want to "do stuff" or focus on things. I popped some benzos because my blood pressure is also very high as for me (150/90). Anyone know is this because of dopamine agonist which Im taking? I dont think its because of the Concerta dose which is relatively small.

Your right, I would only get a very slight buzz from 36mg-all day release Concerta. Oh, and on a side note, 150/90 blood pressure is nothing to worry about. Not unless you're over 50 and your veins can't handle it, at a younger age until your blood pressure hits >160 you shouldn't worry. This is at least what I was told my Doc.

I would bet it is because of the Dopamine agonist. I used to take DLPA, which is not a dopamine agonist but rather a dopamine precurser. But the end result is essentially the same. More dopamine is available to your brain. And when I took stimulant drugs, even weak ones like caffeine with it, I will feel super edgy and not good as you descibe.

If I were you, I would not be fucking with Ritalin/Concerta. I've had very little luck in having those two work for me. And when they do the crash is worse then on Adderall (for me). Then again though I wouldn't suggest taking Adderall for too long. If you take it intermittantly it can be ok, but tolerance on Adderall builds quick and NEVER goes down. I'm speaking from experience here.
