I doubt you'll find my relief from OTC meds outside kratom and loperamide OP. Kava, ginseng and GABA don't do much of anything for me when I'm in withdrawal.
The thing about withdrawal is that there really isn't any way to get through it without some level of discomfort. If you are getting any sleep at all you're not doing half bad. Insomnia is what most people struggle the most with (next being RLS, anxiety and nausea/GI issues) when it comes to acute opioid withdrawal.
For the insomnia, consider taking a hot bath or shower before bed and using some Tiger Balm. Make sure to eat three nutritious meals each day. Get as much exercise as you can, but avoid exercising for an hour or two before bed (exercising right before bed can make it hard to fall asleep). Avoid using the computer or TV for an hour before bed or when you get up at night, as the bright screen can fuck with your sleep cycle.
Basically, if you can't get your hands on a more appropriate medication like diazepam or trazadone to help you get some Zzzzs, work on improving your sleep hygiene. Kratom will help a lot more than the supplements you're already taking, so don't expect them to do much. Perhaps get some Valerian root and melatonin to take at bedtime, that helps me (the melatonin at least) at least a bit in withdrawal.
Avoid diphenhydramine and antihistamines as they can increase RLS during the acute withdrawal, but after a week or two you can try them out if you are still having trouble sleeping and can't get more appropriate meds.
As long as you don't take kratom for longer than three or four weeks or so, and decrease your dose a bit before stopping, you shouldn't have an issue coming off it.
