DON - First Time - DON: A trip report

BD, i would recommend if you know something dreaming up this chem, try it yourself. Its quite unique. The afterglow to this day has never been out done.

i wouldnt mind giving this a taste test sometime.
I'll be trying DOI soon but from reading this report it seems that DON is where its at.
Another attractive aspect of DON is that PIHKAL mentions it doesnt last as long as the other DOx's and that it might work well as a recreational drug (as yaesutom mentioned)

Completeki, was this your only experience with DON?
Im interested in hearing more experiences.

Michael i think the problem with your experience with DON is the dose was not high enough.

I'd say completeki's trip is an acception, not a rule. I have heard MANY secondhand DON reports...and while most seem to say it is nice....I've yet to ever hear anyone else having a trip of this level of profundity. I know of no one else who would ever say it comes second only to DOM.

It is probably like my 2C-N trip....I had a rare +4 with it, but most others who try it find nothing special there.

Remember guys, this is one report of one experience.

Not true at all. Your mileage will vary. DOI has never lasted even more than 12 hours for me, and i would ingest rather large dosage of around 12-14mg. The last 3 times I have done it, the real strong parts of the trip lasted 7 hours max..after that was all very minimum, residual :stuff: going on that i have a hard time saying is the result of taking a psychedelic drug :\ I apologize for any retardedness to this post, as my personal mophine drip makes my leggled all wobbling and feel lke fellow. It's nice talking to people, eeven if i slur my worlds and occassionally drooln myself, and i was like all talking to someone and then......

^I pretty much agree. I think there would be a lot more literature out there, profressional/ameture regarding this substance if it were so good.
Out of curiosity, if you guys dont think DON is 2nd best of the DOx's next to DOM, what would be 2nd instead?
 
I'd put my vote down for DOET. Of course, I have yet to try DOM or DOET, but there is a LOT of literature out there on both of them, so I am not making my judgement on just what is written in PIHKAL.
 
But on the whole the DOX drugs are in the nasty league of pyschoactives. If you take something like 2ct-7 then at least you know you are in for a richer experience even if dose for dose it ends up costing more.
 
Well from all i've heard about DOM, it sounds really amazing.

I wouldn't go so far as to say DON would feel like a 2C-N trip though, because honestly, DOI feels NOTHING at all like 2C-I and doesn't come with the 2C-I side effects like wierd stimulation/etc. DOB is really physically stimulating and seems to last way longer than DOI (most people i'd guess?).

I wonder why though, that for some people DOI/DOB will last a considerably shorter time than with other people, and where I can take 4mg of DOI and the 'good part' always lasts about 10 hours and isn't TOO strong after 10 hours like dextermeth said (residual effects/can sleep etc), yet some people can take just 2mg and "trip out hard" for 20 hours - yet the 2c's seem more reliable with dosage/duration between people?

Also I noticed snorting DOI or DOB, the trip comes on within 5-10 minutes, and lasts a shorter time, but, the dose isn't really too far off from orally unlike the 2c's (also doesn't burn like a bitch!). Also the trip seems pretty much the same other than quick come up time and slightly shorter duration (7 hours of 'tripping time' on DOI vs. 10 hours orally).

Anyway I wish I knew where I had read the other couple TR's for DON, it wasn't on bluelight or erowid.. anyway, I guess we'll have to wait until if/when some new DON reports come in to really know anything more. When there's not much info available for something or it doesn't seem 'all that' in pihkal (like 2C-D) sometimes we can be quite suprised :) guess not much point in "guessing" is there? hehe.

^^ Damn, I cannot find your report (or any DON reports) on erowid.

I think I found the other reports scanning through some kind of "story" about these guys taking all kinds of drugs buried in some website.
 
Yeah, that's why I don't submit them there. I've submitted a few before I found out about BL under a different handle, but they never appeared.

I would gladly work as a volunteer trip report approver for Erowid...

Personally, the only thing i find nasty about DOx drugs is that i have yet to eat DOM :p
Seriously though, what do you find negative about them? On the whole, i find them to be incredibly smooth and refreshingly psychedelic in it's own little way...sure, eating 3 times the amount of what everyone else on here consumes might have something to do with that.

Some random nastiness (positives aside): 5-MEO-AMT feels like toxic shit. 2C-I feels carcinogenic if that makes any sense at all, like there is some tumor growing in the back of my eye sockets. 5-MEO-DIPT leaves me very drained in the synapesis. And i dont get what the point of this is, so i am going to end this tyrade or terrible grammer, spelling, and overall relevence to anything.
 
I just so happened to find this report again, and I don't know if completeki is still around, but a search of the unpublished Erowid reports shows nothing involving DON. Weird. But they're looking for reports on rare psychedelics like this.
 
^^ yes he's around, i'll try to get him to come back and do a comparison, of DOM, DOI, DOB, DOC, and DON :)
