Misc Does the use of pregabalin make gabapentin stop working?

After a good few months with Lyrica, I decided to turn in my prescription to avoid any future WD or addiction issues. My Doc then put my back on gabapentin, which I started taking three days after my last Lyrica dose. I took around 1200mg, which is what I used to take recreationally back when I did gabapentin...however I felt nothing. I couldn't even get to sleep like I used to on gabapentin. Is it that Lyrica made the gabapentin stop working?

Also for the first time ever I got brand name Neurontin, instead of generic and was hoping for some placebo effect to make the drug feel better haha! 8(

EDIT: I have read one paper that says there is no cross tolerence between GP and PG, so what seems to be going on?
 
in my experience with both drugs, using medically, ive found there is some cross tolerance between them. id say thats what youre experiencing contrary to the paper youve read.

both being reasonably new drugs on the market theyre still not fully understood with how they work, etc.
