Does stretching your body make you more aroused?

Not on a train, sadly.
I notice that when I get my arms pinned down as far behind my head as possible so that my armpits start to burn, my upper ribs start to tingle... or when a leg is bent and stretched juuuuust a wee bit beyond its limit, my thighs start to sliiiightly ache, et cetera, I get a sort of "rush"... endorphins, perhaps?

I was wondering if anyone else felt the same way...

Yeah, I get that from stretching, and mostly from my regular yoga class. My teacher is really into pushing us through boundaries (it's for experienced students so you're supposed to know what's too much.) But I love his class because he seems to recognize that pleasure from positions that are intense and held for a long time.

After certain poses, I can feel energy sort of tingling out of my scalp and after class my body feels like it's bouncing down the street, elevated by the energy coming out of my head. I love it.

I'm with you, Jimmy Jam.

It's not a major influx of arousal, but very noticable and certainly enhances the level of arousal at the time.

:)

P.S. Now I totally know what i need to practice for your visit ;)

Stretching in itself is very euphoric/erotic to me. I also enjoy being sore from working out, and stretching. It probably does relate a lot to endorphins.

It's interesting you brought up the topic though Jamshyd, I am interested to hear what others have to say.

It could be that you're stimulating the vagus nerve by stretching. This releases all sorts of chemicals, its a complicated nerve. It runs behind the eyes out through the skull and down the body - vagus means 'wandering' in latin. Rubbing the eyes stimulates the nerve to release sleep hormones, which is why babies (and adults) rub their eyes when tired. Its possible different locations of the nerve result in different chemicals/hormones, but to be honest its not something I've ever experienced or read up on.

I think it has something to do with the person streching them ? If you sit and start pulling your leg until it hurts you will stop. If you have (according to your last post I read) some strapping beary guy doing it to you in a sexual way then your probably going to enjoy it.

Back in the good old days of proper ecstasy, people liked to give each other stretches by standing back to back and by one person pulling the other person onto their back in a double arm lock and by bending forward and pulling them to lay across their back so the person is arched facing to the sky (or roof) for extra pleasure. So maybe there is pleasure that is multiplied while this is done on that particular drug and therefore is naturally pleasurable in a slight way. Hope my description was clear enough and I'll have to call it a night waffling online!
P.S. Not sure if it aroused people sexually or in other ways

i agree with this.

though, as you said in your first post, jammy, being pinned down...i'm assuming that someone is doing the pinning down for you and you're not just talking about stretching yourself in bed?

^ LOL yes, obviously, much as I'd love to learn how to pin myself down ;)

I assume the person doing said things is at least half of the answer, so Bear is correct. I also admit that I can be a bit of a masochist in bed.

That said, when I made this point I actually had yoga in mind (as per artaxerexes). Several of my friends are yoga instructors and are quick to extol the virtues of stretching. So it could be the stretching does something pleasant (hence the things people on E do), and that this can positively contribute to arousal in the proper setting.

lol i wasn't sure if you had some strange contraptions set up in your bedroom to help, uh, assist with such matters. =D

like you and bearlove said, it does have a lot to do with the other person involved. i, myself, enjoy being super submissive like that at times for similar reasons.

as far as yoga, i think you hit the nail on the head with that one. i haven't practiced yoga in about 2 years, but there is something euphoric about being quite limber after a session. i suspect it has a lot to do with the release of endorphins, as well as the meditation and breathing involved to invoke such feelings. :)

Yes it can especially if I'm lying on a bed in a spread eagle position. I also enjoy being pinned/pinning someone down and it doesn't have to be a sexual thing.

whitedove-What do you mean by proper ecstasy? I was under the impression that you're either taking MDMA/MDA or you're not? I've never taken MDMA/MDA are they like empathic amphetamines?

The way you described having your arms pinned down reminded me of something that might be similar but also might not.

When my brother and I were young we'd sit upside down on the lounge and hang our heads/upper body off the edge of the lounge (where your feet normally go) and you'd feel more blood come into your head. Then you'd do a crunch and bring your head back up above the level of your torso. That'd give you an bit of a rush.

I just tried it out again on my fitball and it still works. But I think the position I'm talking about has my head lower than what Jamshyd is describing and the strain on my muscles is quite mild. Still it might be the same thing causing the feeling. But I have no idea what that is.

in short: no... lol

stretching relaxes my body. takes a hell of a lot more than that to get me going, though!

mind you the fire is a hot and dangerous one, so it's probably for the best that it takes a while for me to ignite :p

Yep, stretching definitely releases a lot of endorphins!
This is why people feel relaxed after stretching, literally a "natural high".
It explains why you and other people feel "arousal" after stretching.
And sometimes stretching makes me feel quite stimulated, i.e. more awake and slightly euphoric.

It's all endorphins baby :)

No that's just a very rapid change in blood pressure in your head, not endorphins. Not quite the same thing :)

Hello I am a 34yo male and oddly enough sometimes when I am sexually aroused I get this urge to stretch, now I don't know how many of you belive in Kundalini or Tantra but I think me stretching is a form of me releasing pent up sexual energy. I don't know alot of people who have this condition but I am pretty sure it's to do with a blockage somewhere.
