After reading all about how psychedelics act by effecting the amounts of serotonin released in the brain and are a major inducer of "spiritual" experiences, could one theorize that serotonin may play a role in the human experience of spirituality? Or are there other sites in the brain where these experiences are more likely to originate from? (I've heard alot about the pineal gland especially after reading Rick Strassman's book DMT: The Spirit Molecule)

- Narrow your scope. Try to avoid "universals" like the dreaded "Does God Exist?". Not only are these discussions bound to appear in one form or another in more well-defined threads where they actually have a purpose, but also can be found in already-existing threads by searching for them. In other words, if it's a big question, it probably already has a big thread, so UTFSE.
