http://www.drugs.com/npp/salvia-divinorum.html See 'Uses and Pharmacology'.

Anything that lowers levels of dopamine should help upregulate dopamine receptors, is that right? If so, salvia divinorum should lower tolerance to drugs that increase dopamine levels.

Has anyone taken salvia during or in between chronic use of drugs that downregulate dopamine, specifically D1 and D2 receptors? Did you notice an effect on your tolerance?

No because salvia lasts so short. It'd have to be long acting and/or chronicly redosed to have a significant effect, and I don't think anyone's willing to constantly smoke salvia.

Oh yeah, I didn't think of that. :(

I bought some a year ago (it's legal here by the way) and I haven't been brave enough to try it, haha, but I'd do anything to get my medication to work again.

It's certainly not euphoric but might be insightful. I cried last time I smoked some tbh.
