I'm not sure if it's like it takes 5mg and spreads it out so really it only feels like a couple of Mg continuously. Or is it set up with more then 5 mg of oxymorphone so that it continuously feels like a 5mg dose over a longer period?

so does each pilll containe the same amount or what? I've had 2 different pharmasist tell me opposite answers.... kinda scarry. So which is it? One of those pharmasist didnt seem to even know what it was!

Whatever dosage it says it has it has. If its a 5mg XR Oxymorphone it has 5mg in the pill. If its a 5mg IR Oxymorphone it has 5mg in the pill. Simple as that.

This is anything but Advanced Drug Discussion. I'm moving it to Basic Drug Discussion.

To check what pill you have, there are plenty of pill identifiers of google that can tell you what dose you have. Don't think you're allowed to ask for pill IDs here on BL.

Otherwise though, an opana 10 ER and 10 IR will have the exact same mg of oxymorphone in. Pills are always measured by total dose.

And basic rule of thumb is that around 25-35% of the pill will be in your bloodstream at peak and your blood concentrations of the drug will constantly diminish until you re-dose. This is why it often times takes a few days for ER meds to reach their full potential.

Yep.

Long story short, the mg amount is the total amount in the pill.

Since this is an extremely straightforward thread, I'm going to close it. OP, PM me if you have any concerns.
