I know my cousin tried cocaine for the first time about a year ago. TO my knowledge, she did it occasionally and recreationally, but the past couple of months im pretty sure she is doing it multiple times a week, most of the time alone. she will be with other people but hide that she is doing coke, but i can tell when she is high..she does it on weeknights when she isnt going out or anything, just to do it i guess.. i said something to her abotu it and she just said not to worry, she'll be fine and to please not tell anyone
i am worried because she is 27 years old and trying to get her life together. she is been depressed the last couple of years due to the death of her mother and her job and family situation. she is also bipolar and has low self esteem and i know these are all risk factors for addiction. she has not been happy for a while and i feel that the coke probaby gives her a false happiness.. one day after doing coke all weekend she had a break down and was talking of suicide etc and this scares me
basically i am trying to figure out if this is a recreational thing or turning into an addiction. i dont think she's doing it everyday, but at least 2-3 times a week to my knowledge. if this is a problem, how can i get her to stop? what do i say or do to get her to snap out of it and get on the right track?
PLEASE HELP!
