Miscellaneous Does meditation while tripping increase the intensity of psychedelics? Mind tripping and Consciousness.

I am not a good person to equate ego dissolution (the term, not the symptoms) with either psychedelics or meditation.
however
Wondering if ego desolution ever happened to me on a psychedelic, can't recall having one under influence of a drug. There always was some room for that window of thought. And an ego to draw in the things that flew by.

During that session i didn´t have that. Just concious dissocation, a mind free of thoughts. Hearing/ feeling stayed intact, but my vision was filled with OEVs. Soon as the session ended that state also dissapeared. Only the memory remained.

anything delusional can be attributed to "ego" but anything related to the self may also be attributed.
but the self is not fundamentally delusional.
the self does not dissolve,
although access to memory can become blocked,
and the body may feel like it is dissolved. but is the body ego?

realistically the term ego-loss is not very good.

Yeah ego is vague.

But thoughts are there before we become concious of em. Becoming aware of em, lets call it pulling them into the window of conciousness.
Creates some kind of concentrated but actually distracted awareness. During a meditation you deliberately avoid doing this.

This doesn't lead too ego loss or dissocation but is sure a relaxing practice. Comforting rest.

A level deeper when you no longer reckognize your own voice, experience OEV, and except the mantra and the beads totally dissociated of your body. With the difference compared to Ketamine, at any time you can leave that state.

Well how do you call that state, does it have a name. Does it need one?

Chesirekat mentioned the term Satori which seemed fitting, a vivid moment and a step towards enlightement. Not enlightement itself.

but there are some similarities, and meditation practice helps with psychedelic experience in this way

Meditation, as a practice helps keep the mental slope level by helping keep a neutral attitude to mental contents that arise from sensation or perceptive reflexes
Recognizeable, the desciption off the neutral attitude state one is in. Another similarity is breathing, meditation requires belly breathing. When trippin on Lyserigcs this automatically happens for me. If it was not in that state allready.

So if I enter the trip a bit 'anxious' breathing a bit tight, from the chest, very uncomfortable if your not in actual fight and flight modus. This disolves quickly as the acid comes up, its for me very relaxing. [ALD-52, 1p-LSD, Al-LAD] wonder if it would also happen on LSD. As back in the day (30 years ago) the LSD i took felt stimulating, unlike atm what the analogues do?

agreed,
more stimulation from LSD proper than from the analogues.

Only recently has access appeared to non-analogue LSD, while for the last 10 years I have just called other lysergamides LSD for the sake of brevity, there is a bit of a difference and it is the raw stimulation (what I used to think of as speed being added, as if that would even fit on a blotter!). Acclimating to the tight feelings amid the kaleidoscopic blender with breathing awareness is what I seem to do naturally - most likely because I already have the habit.

After several trips with different substances, I guess the thing I’m really looking after these experiences, and the main reason of my psychonaut journey, is to experience and gain consciousness, and dive in the deepness of my mind...
One of the best trips I ever had (and a profoundly spiritual experience) was on shrooms while in sensory deprivation. I wasn't in an actual sens-dep tank, but my basement (underground) room was close enough. No light, no sound, 72F, lying naked and still on my bed.

I was flying through galaxies with cosmic lightning bolts surging through my body, which felt ecstatic-- like a "spiritual orgasm." I became One with the Universe and experienced the entirety of space & time. And that's just a small part of it-- the rest is utterly indescribable.

Most of my tripping has been on mountains, in woods, and/or near water. I really dig Nature and I love communing with it anytime, but especially when tripping.

I've dabbled in meditation off&on over the years, with limited results. In the past I was too impatient and too easily distracted to get much benefit. I've recently gotten into it again (or seriously for the first time?) and I'm liking it a lot. I scored some blotter the other day and I'm looking forward to taking it on my next day off. I plan to meditate under the influence and I'll let y'all know how it goes. I haven't tripped in 2 years (shrooms) and it's been a decade since I've taken LSD, so it should be interesting.
