Does MDMA go bad in water?

Okay,

SWIM got an offer from a friend to take 1G of MDMA from his stash at my place. was high so took it right away and swim didnt have any place to store it. swim read online some guy said water is the best way to evenly dsitribute molly when taking it. So SWIM took a litre water bottle and just thrw that shit in there lol

swim has been just taking light swigs of the bottle before nights out and it works wonders, little euphoria. just wondering if it'll go bad at any point, read online that moisture is bad.

mdma is an extraordinarily stable chemical (compared to most other drugs) if stored cool, dry, in a sealed container and away from light.
however you will dramatically decrease the stability if you dissolve it in water. just like chemical reactions, that wouldn't take place at all if you just mixed two powders, can run so quickly to be explosive when you mix the same compounds in liquid, your mdma will react and degrade a lot faster in solution.
how fast? we do not know. it's not a thing that we have any reliable data on.
i'd recommend evaporating the water or (more practially) measuring out your doses beforehand and freezing them individually. when you freeze your solution you'll get a relatively non-reactive solid again (even if having dry powder is still better).

I'd be more worried about how sterile that water remains if you are taking swigs from your grotty saliva filled mouth.

Why you didn't just store it in a wrap of notebook paper until you got home and placed it in a baggy is beyond me?

No, it doesn't -- but after a while water will grow bacteria and fungus.

There are processes for recrystallizing MDMA from solution on the web.

If not, boil the aqueous solution a while to kill all the bacteria / pathogens before they make toxins... then preferably evaporate all water to yield the MDMA again which can be better preserved, or add enough everclear / vodka to achieve ~20% alcohol to preserve and keep bacteria etc out.
