Hi !

Just reading some stuff on Erowid about LSD

The long-term effects of LSD use can be both good and
bad. There are cases of people who claim to have had their
entire lives turned around, for the better, due to LSD use.
On the other hand, some people have been hospitalized by so-
called "LSD psychosis." In the late 1960s, several studies
indicated possible chromosome breakage due to LSD use.
Some
people report experiencing "LSD flashbacks" -- brief vivid
repetitions of a previous LSD experience.\

Does anyone know if there is anymore research done supporting this idication?

Also, has anyone ever done LSD and had a negative side affect from doing it?

is erowid trying to connect flashbacks with chromosomal "breaking"?

anyway, I don't think LSD is known as a carcinogen.

" No. This is a myth, which originates from a study dating back to the LSD hysteria period (1967) which showed that LSD caused "chromosonal breaks", or damage to DNA, and it was inferred that LSD could cause birth abnormalities.

The study failed to mention that nearly *all* drugs, legal or illegal, cause chromosonal breaks - including aspirin, caffeine, antibiotics, and artificial sweeteners, the majority to a greater degree than LSD."
