Misc Does G-H-B expire?

Here's the deal SWIM had a bottle of naGHB (made from gbl) that has been stored in a PLASTIC container for about 6 months now....from what I've read in the aussie forums, the biggest problems in storing 1,4/GBL in a plastic container is bad because it can eat away at the plastic. The problem with storing GHB is that the salt can extract itself from the Na/KGHB and revert back to GBL...

soooo IF the GHB has reverted back to GBL than the bottle is compromised because its plastic, if not then it should be safe.....

what to do?

Depends on the plastic. Use HDPE bottles to store GBL (usually sold in HDPE bottles - so is milk for that matter) and it's fine. Does eat most other plastics but if it hasn't eaten through your bottle and doesn't reek of plastic it's probably okay. If I get a drop of geebee on my keyboard it burns a hole in seconds so a bottle probably wouldn't hold it for long if it were the wrong type of plastic.
