I remember when I took Subutex which was 2 years past its expiry date and they still worked.

Apparently I heard they are so strong that they do not deteriorate even well after their expiry date??? is that true???

My question is would 2007-2008 Subutex still work?

Also is it true if any medicine goes yellowish it means it won't work?

Also the subutex is still in blister packs and in medicine cupboards in the kitchen.

Thanks!!!...

It's not that it doesn't deteriorate due to it's strength, but properly stored medication (away from moisture, extreme temperatures, and light) should remain effective far past it's expiration date.

As for medication turning yellow, I've never heard of that before but that sounds like improperly stored medicine, but no, medication should not be turning colors.

But has anybody use out of date subutex or suboxone which was 3-5 years old? and if so did it work?

I can't speak for expired buprenorphine products, but I've consumed expired morphine, hydrocodone, oxycodone, dextroamphetamine, and others that were much older than 5 years.

As I said, if it was properly stored, it should work just fine. I wouldn't take it if it's turned yellow though...

The bupe will be fine. The sub I am maintaining with is 2 years old and hasnt been stored very well at all. I haven't noticed any drop in potency
