Basically the title.

If you insufflate/sniff roxi/oxy does it at all effect your high if u do it on an empty stomach or on a full stomach. And if u do it then eat does it kill ur high AT ALL?

If someone is 100% positive on there answer can they give me a source of where they got their answer or biological or scientific reasoning behind their answer?

I would think no, because it is in ur blood and goes into ur brain. But then I always think eating when u smoked and when i used to do pills n heroin all the time, i thought when i ate it turned my high down .

No, but insufflating opiates on a full stomach increases your chance of getting sick.

Oxycodone is almost always more effectively absorbed in the gut than in the nasal passages due to the larger surface area.

Differential effects of food on the bioavailability of controlled-release oxycodone tablets and immediate-release oxycodone solution

According to that paper, controlled release oxycodone is not effected by food.
Instant release oxycodone will have a slightly lower peak (80-90% of potential) when it is eaten with a fatty meal, but it will last longer and have more 'total effects'.

Eating does not decrease blood levels of oxycodone, only time does. Or haemodialysis, but let's not go there.

A likely explanation for 'feeling different; after you eat: when you eat after fasting your blood sugar can do all sorts of wild things and can cause temporary changes in mental state.

It will have some effect since a percentage of insufflated drugs will always end up in the stomach, obviously.

Otherwise it should not effect drugs taken via non-oral ROA's other than that your body is busy digesting food, so there is lots of blood going to/ from your stomache to aid the muscles in digestion, so it could have some effect on the drug's protein binding or plasma concentrations, although I do not know by what method this would occur.

I think this is mostly psychosomatic in that food is very satisfying and eating releases serotonin and dopa-mine, the same chemicals which cause the euphoria and pleasure when you take drugs, so your body is already feeling satisfied from the food and you don't get as big of a neurotransmitter release when you do take the drugs, since there is a finite amount of both in our brain. That's my theory, maybe someone can find scientific evidence for it?

regardless, I will give you an opinion or advice, but if it is an amalgamation of a lifetime of knowledge and I didn't read it in the last week, I can't give you a source, and most people wont be able to either. However, you can take the info we give you and research it to determine which of the many ideas put forth in a thread are possible or plausible.

I never snorted oxy but have snorted morphine & I had eaten 15 minutes prior. It still got me high but I dont like sniffing so thats the end of that.
