Does DXM Indeed Affect Cognitive Abilities? My Experience With DXM

Hello, fellow Bluelighters! I have created this thread to gather information on how DXM affects your cognitive abilities outside of the high. In my experience with DXM, it has never really affected my cognitive abilities. I have done DXM in syrup form (Delsym) for around 3 years now occasionally (About every weekend). I must note that I am not addicted to the drug severely, as I have taken many weeks at a time without it with barely any withdrawals at all. Over the course of me taking it, I have noticed the way I function change. Whenever I learn something new, whether it be reading a book or from an article online, I process the information differently, in a way that makes it much easier to remember. I am not sure if the DXM has affected or "triggered" something in my mind to function in this new way? I am just curious on how DXM has affected anyone else cognitively. Let me know! Thanks :D

Can you explain in more detail about what you mean about memorizing shit better?

I have used other dissociatives like ketamine quite a bit....they make understanding complex subject matter very hard even on a light dose, but while off of them the next day I have noticed no cognitive decline at all

The way I think has changed very substantially. I am not sure if the DXM has permanently affected my brain. I have heard many people say that after doing disassociatives their cognitive such as balance, memory, and sight have been slightly impaired. Is my DXM experience a 'fluke' or does anyone else have the same cognitive effects after dosing DXM for a long time?

Thanks for the help, I was just asking out of curiosity, not for any help or anything
