Does Deep House Belong on the Dancefloor???

Option2- I've seen DJ Dan spin about 15 times and Ive never been impressed with his repetitive- cookiecutter-overproduced crap that has no right even being called house music. i saw mark farina this summer in hollywood and everyone was on the dancefloor and everyone was dancing with their own style, each a little different. You have taken too many drugs if you can only dance to 120 BPM tracks. Deep house has risen in popularity in the last two years for one reason- it is actually well thought-out intelligent music, and you bet your ass it belongs on the dance floor at any fucking time of day :) :)

Cheers to Kataklysm!! option 2- You have to been a complete moron to say that any type of "dance music" doesnt belong on the dance floor. thats why its called dance music you retard! even hardcore has its place on the dance floor if people are dancing to it!!!

Call me a "moron" or "Retard" to my face and I'll sneeze in your face and blow you half way down the block you skinny little bitch.

Are you trying to say that deep house is 120BPMs or less??????????
Average deep house set clocks in between 124-127BPMs

wow...this thread is getting a bit heated for something about deep music.
Does deephouse belong on the dance floor? ...absolutely. Just maybe not the dancefloor of *YOUR* favorite club.
Seriously though, it is all a matter of taste. There is energy in all music. How that energy affects you depends on your interaction with the music. Some people look for just plain energy, or a catchy hook and sample, other people groove off soulful instrumentation. How you interact and interpret the music will affect what you take away from it. That is why music is an art form.

It's funny how if you listen to Deep House or Jungle, you somehow feel superior to everybody who doesn't listen to Deep House or Jungle, and that you have the right to scoff and raise your nose to them also.
If you like Deep House, that's fine with me, but don't come up to me in your shiney disco shirts with your martini's and tell me disco house is for sweaty meatheads.
It's odd how so many 155lb "men" quickly grow a pair of brass balls as soon as they log on to the 'net.

It's not about being (or feeling) superior) - when someone comes out and says that this or that doesn't belong here, or whatever - I feel compelled to respond, in order to defend it. Deep music is THE SHIT. I love it - always will, and it most certainly will remain on all dancefloors I choose to be on. I'm not down with all deep music, I'm pretty particular in fact, and all that funky disco shit can kiss my ass - I like my music devilishly dark, haunting and bass-driven - but whatever. It's quite obviously dance music, and there are many of us who like it.
:D

And the 2nd option is this: come over to my house so i can call you a retard and a moron to your face: 2220 exposition dr. # 91, San Luis Opispo, CA 93401. you little bitch

The Utah Saints track (Oliver Lieb Mix) is deep trance I guess - but it's not really even about tracks and shit. You know deep stuff when you hear it, because it doesn't really jump out at you. It sucks you in! ;) Much more emphasis on the bassline and subtle percussion and melody. For this reason, the meth-heads don't dig it, because there's no big riffs and buildups, it's up to the DJ to do the buidling, and when it's done well, it's much more intense and overwhelming than any trance.
Check out Digweed's GU014 for a pretty good example of 'deep trance', although the labels wear a little thin, and are not really all that relevant. It's just cool!

Melbourne, Australia.
WHERE ARE THE DEEP HOUSE CLUBS!
I know places that play the odd set, but I'd love to go to a real deep house club. Anything like Deep House, Deep Progressive House/Tech is right upmy alley.
