does constant use of marijuana make u lazy

no problem.. if you're diong it everyday its a good way to regulate your sleep patterns too.. i just figure out what time wanna go to bed, and then blaze.. heh

I generally smoke my herb in the evenings so i do tend to get my days work done, but even if i am at home smoking throughout the day, yes, i maybe lazy in the sense im not always doing something physically active, but its my mental processes, thinking and creativity I get from my high that makes it worthwhile to me.

I've done the whole active thing with sports etc but I get more enrichment from sitting back and contemplating for example the effects and problems surrounding the mass media upon society, or the futility of the legal system, or maybe just what the hell im gonna munch for dinner.

I'd swop a treadmill for bud in a second.

it really depends on strain, personality and preconceptions.

i found that i'm not really actually lazy when i'm stoned, it's just that the idea of sitting down appeals to me. if you actually get up and start doing stuff, you'll find it's not really that bad at all, and that you can cope.

^^^^

Totally agree.

I've found that when I smoke alone that all I want to do it sit by myself. But if I'm out with friends or being active while high I don't feel lazy.

it depends on the situation for me if im acutally out somewhere and im ripped i won't be a lazy fuck...but if im at my friends house im juss really fuckin lazy...i won't do shyt except make food and play video games

ya i was juss wondering if u smoke alot of weed does it make u lazy in the long run because ive been smoking weed for a long time now and ive become a lazy fuck so i was juss wonderin if it has ne thing to do with the weed

I don't think that pot "makes" you anything, except maybe high.

If you don't want to be lazy, then get up off your ass and stop being so fucking lazy. Pot isn't "making" you play video games all day, or making you not want to do your homework or go to school. In your head you are just like, "Damn, I would much rather sit here, get high, and not worry about a fucking thing."

Maybe it's your lack of motivation. I don't even know you, but by reading your run-on sentence that doesn't even contain a period at the end I can tell that you lack any motivation whatsoever. I mean you have to know that you are typing like a jackass right? Don't you at least care what kind of impression you are making on the people that read your threads?

:\

lol well im juss too lazy to put these periods in my sentance and is it really that hard to read it without hte periods. <------- there happy:p

Think of it this way, if you drank a 12 pack of beer a day how much would you get done?

Can you really compare a 12-pack to smoking pot though?

I'm a pretty small guy, so after a 12-pack I'm pretty shitfaced. I wouldn't get anything done because I physically wouldn't be able to. I would have poisoned my body to such a large extent that I would mostly just be puking and sleeping.

You can't really smoke and then not be able to do something, unless it's something big like flying a plane or defusing a bomb. Even there the only reason I wouldn't do those things stoned is because of the large responsibility.

Haha, I can read your writing just fine! I'm just pointing out that I can tell how much of a lazy person you are just by reading your posts. ;)

^^^^seriously though, you cant just say that pot doesnt effect you mentally or in any way for that matter, because it does. I agree you dont have to be lazy, and you can go out and do something, but drugs are drugs, and so to say that there are no side effects is complete bs. maybe you havent reached that point with smoking the herb, but i find that the general population of smokers experience these effects. I can tell you for one, because i havent smoked for about 9 days now, coming from smoking everyday for about 2 years. Things have gotten a lot clearer, and my motivation and personality have started to come back almost full force. I am generally saying this to people who smoke at least everyday, even if its just at night, because it builds up in your system and stays there. It really is better if you can moderate it, because you will definately notice that your not as lazy, give it a try and see what happens. peace

I've been smoking pretty heavily now for about 8 months. When I'm not sinking cone after cone, I'm wishing I was sinking cone after cone.

My school work, my sport and my family life have suffered greatly as a consequence on the 'erb, and I'm not afraid to admit that I know its the weed doing it to me..

Tomorrow marks the start of a new school year.. All my buds have been smoked and I've deleted my dealers number from my phone. Don't get me wrong, blazing a bong or a dozen on a saturday night will still be part of my weekly routine, but I really would like for my life to be not so centered around weed. Hence my decision to cut back.

thats a great decision. i would much rather smoke weed 1-3 times a week then do it everyday. and if i ever needed it quit it would be a lot easier

It definately makes it easier for me to just submit to comfort, lay down and watch tv for hours (i prefer cops marathons :) )

But on the other hand, it also opens up a channel of inspiration that is normally not so apparent. It's like I can see the possibilities before me, can think of new options and new ways to enjoy life. I think this is where the balance of not smoking too often comes in, so that you can still clear up and get the ball rolling.

When I was smoking nightly I became too complacent with my life. I didn't care about much and in turn I lost most motivation and began to care very little about how I achieved or performed. My advice would be to take a break if you think it is effecting your job or life, you will notice the improvement trust me.

ive taken mikes advice to smoke weed before u go to sleep...so now i can actually do shyt instead of being lazy, and ive started workin out again

Well I sure as fuck didn't say that.

I don't think heavy use of marijuana has made me any more lazy then I was before I started smoking regularly. The only thing it has done maby is stopped me from working out as much because all I want to do after school is chief, and I use to workout after school. I really wouldn't call that being lazy though, I'm still pretty motivated when doing most activities.

Sorry to top this but I have a situation.

My smoking buddy wants to get serious in school this semester and honestly believes we should cut down on smoking (our norm was maybe 5 times a week last year) because he says it makes him lose motivation. The thing is, we usually smoked during the evening after our classes/jobs etc....so I dont know what he thinks the problem is. Does the "laziness effect" carry over to the next morning or something?

Another thing is I've seen many different kinds of people...ones that smoke daily and go about their chores responsibly and ones that smoke maybe a few times a week and are lazy bums...so I really dont know.
