Does cold air make you higher? (was "how to get higher.")

we cant smoke in my friends house anymore cause his uncle found out so he said "no more and go outside" so we did.

well its very cold so we nly smoked like 2 bowls but omfg i think the cold gets you higher for some reason.

is this true??

I duno, maybe it depends on the person..

I always found coldness to kill my high rather than enhancing it but, that could be just me..
 
we where also listening to the family values tour and it was trippy cause i was shiverign cause it was so cold
 
Usually I don't feel it as much when I smoke outside - but when I come back in to the warmth it hits me like something fierce :)

For me, the cold air makes the smoke harsher. I tend to cough a lot more, and yeah, I'm freezing while i'm smoking so I don't notice much until I go inside. As soon as I start to warm up it hits me, usually more so than if I just stayed inside.
 
cold air sucks, and in no way have i ever felt higher being outside, if anything it makes me start shivering and i start losing my high.
 
i agree it's a lot better to smoke in a warm place but for the first like 5 mins after smoking it's kind of cool because you wonder if your shivering or just starting to feel the affects of some really good weed.
 
If its too cold I can get shakes, but thats if Im really stoned (which doesnt happen often becaue of tolerance). But I find when the fans on me I feel a bit "higher" But it's only because pot increases sensations.
 
Cold

Cold air is just hard on your lungs. I have asthmar and just walking outside at the beginning of winter makes me cough. I think its more than likely that you were just smoking good bud. Logically it doesn't make sense though because you can't get as much air into your lungs if it is cold. Peace.
 
Whenever I smoke in my house and it's cold, I have to turn the heater on or wrap up in a blanket or I can't enjoy the high at all. Cold absolutely kills it for me :(

Although, if I've been outside in the cold for a long time and I smoke up I won't notice the difference.
 
ya i think it does get u more baked...me and my buddi smoked 2 j's in the mournin and we only got buzzed...later that night when it was fuckin freezing we smoked some more of the same shyt and we got fucked up
 
Cold air is denser. It's the reason why your car goes faster in the winter and IMO you don't get more thc, just more oxygen in your lungs. But i dunno. i think the body has a mechanism for reulating the temperature of the air in your lungs so my point could be moot :)
 
For me when I smoke outside now I get high, but also notice somthing when I go back inside that hits me. But if I smoke in the bathroom wile the shower is running or if i'm taking a shower right after I smoke I get super high..somtimes I forget about time and just chill in the shower for like 20mins just stoned out of my mind. For me I guess the warmer I am the higher I get and oppsite in the cold.

Your nose is what normally heats up air for your lungs… as a side note thats part of the reason why SE asians get cold easier. Tiny noses! I suppose you could warm up the rest of the air by sticking the J up your nose. I can't stand shivering my ass off high. I want it to be warm and cozy.
 
for me its quite the opposite, i enjoy outdoor highs more...

also i think the colder air is better, i put ice cubes in my bong water cos it cools the air, makes it less harsh an u can fit more smoke in ur lungs...
 
I don't think they're referring to the air coming from your bong.. I mean, that's not going to be as cold as the air outside anyway.

P.S. Icecubes in a bong's ice catcher does make for one smooth ride though. :)
 
i've relized IMO that it's probably not the actual cold air that kills a buzz or makes one stronger. it all depends on where the person feels is a comfy tempurature. plus a placebo effect might have something to do with your high

Besides just cannibis, drugs in general are just as active when it's hot or cold. Take the siberian shamans who used to eat Amanitas. I can't imagine a place more inhospitable then a cold desert, other than the t.o.t.s.e. message boards :), and the shamans had vissions that were just as vivid and intense as anything the high priests of the Aztecs experienced in sweltering hot mexico. I wonder what would happen if an Aztec ate some morning glory in siberia and a siberian shaman ate some Amanita in Tenochtitlan.
