I'm not sure where I found this out and cant seem to find it in my history, but I've found information that coffee and soma's go well together in terms of getting into my system quicker. I read a post on a forum, and it said that coffee helps soma kick in more efficiently and enter the bloodstream quicker. I have an acromioclavicular separation in my shoulder (AC joint) from bench pressing and it hurts like hell. Anybody know about the this or if it's true or not? :?

Also, Caffeine being a CNS stimulant is most likely a vasoconstrictor, which in turn will slow down the absorption into the blood stream, aside from the faster onset from the acid.

Caffeine is metabolised virtually entirely via cyp1a2 and carisprodol via cyp2c19 so there wouldn't be any enzymatic competition to account for an increase in effects.
Caffeine is often added to drugs such as paracetamol to increase efficacy because they are both metabolised through same cytochrome p450 enzyme in this case CYP1A2 .

Can't really be bothered but you could look into the active metabolites of caffeine such as theobromine or any of the other psychologically active chemicals found in coffee such as harmane to see if there are any additive CNS effects.

There are some possible interactions due to various mechanisms, mostly related to GABA.

Caffeine and other stimulants can exhibit analgesic effects which could account for the increased analgesia of combining the two.

I remember one thread a while back discussing a paper that suggested that caffeine enhances the absorption of MDMA. A quick glance through the references in that paper doesn't turn up anything about other drugs caffeine might have the same effect with, but it might be out there somewhere.
