Does anyone sleep on the floor?

Only bug that freaks me out is a praying mantis - this fear stems from when I was in high school a bunch of us got drunk and passed out on a fishing trip/ i woke up in my mummy bag only my face sticking out and a big ass Carolina Mantis http://dpughphoto.com/images/carolina mantis ft fisher 101509.JPG
Any way this thing got spooked when i woke up and admittedly screamed like a little girl when i woke up half drunk and startled. Any way took me a few seconds to get out of the sleeping bag and brush the bastard away. . . ever since then they freak me out - they have the look of plotting your death when they stare at you.

^they are freaky looking lil buggers arent they?! but perfectly harmless to humans, and actually very beneficial to us as they eat other undesirable insects and improve the health of gardens. I have killed one before I knew much about them, out of fear.



I do move down to sleep on the floor when I'm having trouble sleeping. I'll lay down a blanket on the floor and lay on my back with no pillow. I usually fall asleep really quickly if I do this. Unless I'm laying flat on my back though I find it really uncomfortable to sleep on the floor.
