when your with a good mate or friends and you see how long you can stay up for, with nothing in particular to do,

now i know most people on here love drugs and drugs are so amazing and blah blah blah but i mean have you played it when drugs havent been a the most imortant part, fair enough taking them, but i dont mean 'lets take loads of base and stay up for ages game, more a genuine experiment.

I'll be versing my mate in a battle of zannies over the wkened - we botch have low low tolerance...20 bux for the winner and it's one for one and you have to be sleep for 5 mins or longer...

IT'S ONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN

ohhh and know i havn't tried i\your idea before, this is first time!

Every weekend, pretty much. We'll generally start out with a quick nap Friday afternoon, and party until around...well, I think our record was 9:00 Wednesday morning.
Then again, stimulant use may be involved in these experiments most, though not all, of the time. But they haven't been *the most* important part by a long shot.

I played this game not so long ago. Stayed up for three days a time four times in a month on stims. Last time on the third day I took a psychedelic and spent the whole day on my hands and knees inspecting and trying to insufflate all the marks on the floor. I woke up on the floor at night. I don't play this game any more.

Stoopid psychedelics.

this is dumb. sleep is good. when I play this game, its not by choice, its usually because I'm in morphine withdrawal.

I can't remember where I read or heard this but it was about a group of men who intentionally stayed awake for as long as possible using no drugs. I think they did this to achieve the natural psychosis that happens in the brain even without drugs just due to the lack of sleep.

I've only used meth/amps a handful of times but i distinctly remember my first time smoking crystal and experiencing lack of sleep psychosis (well and the meth too) I had been up for about 3 or 4 days straight smoking about .4 twice a day during the binge. It was about 3AM and I had watched my mom leave for work, which left me home alone. I caught myself several times calling for my mom to come check out whatever it was i was looking at on the computer. I would call out to her like she was in the other room even though i knew i was home alone. I would catch myself talking out loud to people who weren't there and I would just be like "WTF" am I doing? I did this several times that night. Not to mention the constant peaking out the windows for anything and everything.

message of the story... DON'T DO METH... well don't do it more than once :)
It was never my thing so i had no problem staying away from it. sure is an interesting drug though.

I did this battle (or "experiment" if you wanna call it) with my sister when we were much younger.

No drugs, not even coffee and we were so proud to stay up till the morning, but fell asleep at 10 am.
Hargh, those innocent years.

I used to take quite alot of speed (amphetamine sulphate) every weekend.. so was up from friday morning till really early monday mornin pretty much every weekend.. no food would be consumed in this time either..

So stupid :\

Yea, I know that stimulants are obviously going to keep you up. Taking into account all of the factors that turn tweakers in to absolute freaks, sleep deprivation plays as big a role as any. That's why stimulants have never been my bag, I've gotta have my sleep (be it 6 or 12 hrs)

for me staying up is not a game...i have pretty bad insomnia and its awful. i really dont sleep more than 2-4 hours a night :(

then you're probably like me and only get that amount of sleep because you won't lay your ass still in a dark room long enough to fall asleep.

I've always got my computer on with a movie on, or some stand-up comedians or something. I pretty much use it as a t.v. as I don't have one in my bedroom. and I think that keeps me up real late. I can't stand laying in the dark though, because then I'll just sit and have 1,000 thoughts racing through my head, and its never anything important. I have no responsibilities.

i love when my mind fucks with me like that lol

actually not at all, i stretch and meditate every night before i try to fall asleep. and when i lay in bed if i cant fall asleep in 20ish minutes then i get up and read a book in another room, then after a little bit more i try sleeping again (it helps associate your bed with sleeping and not playing video games or watching movies and shit) i dont look at electronic screens of any kind for at least an hour before i start meditating.
its a serious issue i get less than 4 hours of sleep pretty much no matter what. ive literally tried every sleep aid besides some of the much stronger benzos. but yeah i used to try to stay up late but it wasnt usually with my buddies it would be for a girl ukwhatimsayinnnn

My friend and I stayed up for 92 hours at one point. Naturally induced hallucinations and paranoia. My friend and I both talked to former president Hebert Hoover...and both claimed the KBG had bugged his apartment. Seriously at that point without sleep your body went crazy. Than when we tried to sleep it didn't work...we tried everything sex, a bottle of melotonin. No luck. Finally we took some trazodone--and passed out. and slept for 24 hours.

No because it wasn't a challenge. I usually stayed up 2-3 days every time I was awake and never even thought twice about blowing off a few more days.

stay in bed and read the book, that might help. having to get up and walk back to your bed is going to wake you back up.

my mom reads in bed every night and she's out in no time.

the thing is though that i will just end up reading for the entire night (although I know it works for most people)
but the reason I leave my bed to read is to make my brain associate my bed with ONLY sleeping, so when im in bed im not thinking "i should read a book or watch tv" etc
