Does anyone know how to get immediate help to prevent relapse on weekends?

I've been doing well for about a month without using heroin (I got some subutex a few times from friends), and I'm about to relapse and it's Friday night. I've spent that last 4 hours online calling different facilities/groups/hospital to get subutex or suboxone or whatever to help, and they all said they don't see patients until normal business hours (like M-F, 8-4 or so). Most said go to an emergency room and wait for withdrawal symptoms but they won't come because I've been doing well, but what will come is a phone call to someone who can get me heroin.

I also don't have insurance and am willing to charge my credit card if I have to but I've been out of work for a month to get better (and start a new job on Tuesday). Are there any organizations that can help me? I've always had cravings more at night and thought most other people do too; why aren't facilities available 24/7 for suboxone treatment?

Stay on here and keep distracted for now. I'm around if you want to PM me. Read inspiring threads about people that are going through the same thing. Post in Sober Living--lots of threads there that can help. Mostly, just take it one minute at a time. Maybe turn your phone off for a while. You can do this.<3

Hey did you make it through? I was rooting for you. Do you have anyone that can just hang out with you and keep you company? Boredom and loneliness are two very strong stressors that lead to relapse.

Aren't there any night cafes which support sober living by allowing people to get together during nights when many are most prone to relapse? Or is this concept only found here in Scandinavia?

We have for example Walkers cafe for young people and then night cafes for adults in which you most be sober when you are in there.

When I was young I used to hang in walkers cafe getting known to others who didn't want to spend their night being wasted but still wanted to hang out.

Night cafes are something which should be taken worldwide as I guess there are people with same problems all around the world. In the states there are soup kitchens right? It would be quite easy to extend their opening times into night and they would only serve coffee and maybe some snacks so that there isn't any problem with authorities regarding food serving.

It would only need few volunteers and a healthcare worker who have weird sleeping patterns to get going. Maybe Lions or Rotary club could help getting up some funds for the healthcare professional and after that it is just getting space and volunteers which in theory could be easy if there is something like soup kitchens that are already there but only open during daytime.

Scout club could do this same for younger people.

I worked as a volunteer when I was in army and most of the young people liked that there was some muscle head too among the nerdy looking guys :) Atleast there wasn't any problem behaviour as I just had to look at them and they started to behave right :)

I even gave some work out tips as we had gym there too although I didn't want them to exercise too much during night time so that their sleeping cycles wouldn't become too erratic.

Night cafes were started here in 1980s because there was an epidemic of youth alcohol and drug use as people had moved from country to the suburbs and there were nothing to do and people didn't feel like they didn't belong anywhere.

I guess I'll start doing some volunteer work at our local night cafe for adults after I have succesfully tapered out from my oxycodone use.

idowhatyoudo, do whatever you need to do to maintain being clear during night time. Go anywhere where you can't use drugs and where being wasted isn't tolerated. Are there night time cinemas around? Anything that you can do without drugs being available near?

If you got a car I would suggest driving with it on the areas where you know there won't be drug dealers nearby. Driving at highway is therapeutic atleast for me as you have to use some of your brain capacity for driving but at the same time you can do thinking or even meditate or do some mindfullness tasks. A motorbike or bicycle will do the same and with the bicycle you get some exercising at the same time.
