Does anyone else get this effect from Ambien?

About twenty minutes or so after taking 10 mgs of Ambien, while I'm closing my eyes and trying to sleep, my imagination kicks into high gear and I "visualize", in quite vivid fashion, a bunch of rapidly changing scenarios, almost like CEVs, yet I'm also not really asleep...if I want to I can snap out of it (although I actually find it to be somewhat enjoyable, as my mind comes up with some bizarre things). It's pretty strange actually. Does anyone else know what I'm talking about in regards to this?

I just started Ambien 2 months ago. My GABA system is toast, so no hypnotic 'Z-Drug' or benzo knows what to do with me.

Anyway, Ambien puts me in a odd trance like state, where I generally don't fall asleep unless some other sedating substance, even mild, is added. 1 mg of Klonopin does it.

But some of the dreams I have on Ambien are fantastic! Humorous, otherworldly, & in bold colors. Last week I met Keith Richards outside a K-Mart, and well you just had to be there. :)
