I find Pregabalin (Lyrica) to be pretty intoxicating. I've found it has pretty depressing effects, which don't really feel like a benzodiazepine or anything similar to that, but it is sedative in some ways. It definitely affects balance, and has anxiolytic effects, but if the dose is too high it can create a sort of bad trip/overdose type of thing.

It can be pleasurable to me but within 3 days of using it I develop a tolerance for it and it becomes useless.

It's definitely nowhere near as "good" as benzodiazepine, but still it has some pretty significant effects on the central nervous system. It throws off balance even worse than moderate doses of alcohol do. (in my opinion)

I've noticed Gabepentin has almost none of these affects except for at ridiculously high doses. 50-75, 300mg pills. Even at such a high dose it doesn't have the "pleasure" effect of Pregabalin and is almost like a hollow Pregabalin high, with the same lack of coordination you get with Pregabalin.

funnily enough both chemicals taste identical. smell quite differently though. Gabepentin smells like vinegar or something. I don't notice that smell with Pregabalin.

How does it affect you? Do you find it has any recreational effects?

Lyrica is nicer than Neurontin imo, but I don't like getting super fucked up from it. Too disorienting imo, thus I don't love it's recreational effects. But it works well for what I use(d) if for, certainly better than gaba (tolerance to prega also seemed to build a lot slower than with gaba).

Seriously, you take 15,000mg of gabapentin in one dose? That doesn't sound like a good time.

I don't care for gabapentin, but I enjoy a small dose of pregabalin with an opioid. I have a prescription for Lyrica, but it's so damn expensive I never fill it.

Still, that's a LOT. But anyhoo... yea, it kinda sucks how expensive lyrica is, especially given how well it actually works to treat certain conditions related to nerve issues/pain.

Yes, Lyrica is amazingly recreational for me. It's very euphoric, very anxiolytic, gives me tons of energy, and makes me giggle like a schoolgirl who's tripping balls on LSD. It's only good if you have a low benzo tolerance (almost benzo naive). I didn't enjoy the 400-600mg doses I took at all, it was almost dissociative. I'm glad Lyrica is not too abusable for drug abusers (those who tend to have tolerances), as it's such a great medicine for anxiety and nerve pain if you don't use it every day.

You're asking for a seizure with more than 700mg Lyrica, check out the Lyrica MegaThread, take a small dose of Valium with it to be careful.

Sure, Lyrica can be nice.

I'm on about 200mg of Lyrica, .5mg Clonozepam, and 100mg of Tramadol right now and I have a very enjoyable, nice and mellow buzz.

My first time I did 450mg to ease WD and fell asleep. I woke up a couple hours later tripping like crazy, not knowing why. My peak lasted 3 hours after waking, and the ride lasted well into the day.
Tolerance builds super fast tho, and I havent been able to repeat the experience.
