It all started when I was trying to quit smokes, but for months I've just ramped up my dosage to get that same nicotine buzz.

I was thinking, this has to be the healthiest way to ingest nicotine, is it not? Someone should try to market it for regular use.

i might send this over to Drug Culture and see what the other guys think about it over there, otherwise it will probably get sent to basic drug discussion.

this topic isnt really suited for OD, sorry.

Dude, I don't chew the gum, I suck on the lozenges. A lot, like 10-15 4mg pieces a day. I quit smoking 4 years ago.

Hah, I've got another buddy who chews nicotine gum all the time and still smokes.

lol chewing nicotine gum, throw in some chewing tobacco and smoke a cigarette. I would probably instantly shit my pants =D

Same shit different day

I chewed nicotine gum for an entire year. I didn't necessarily "quit smoking" but basically I did unless my girlfriend was out of town or something. I just got addicted to nicotine gum instead.

Weird shit happened to my gums (gum recession, discoloration), it gives you MAD gas, and I had dreams about my teeth falling out. Not to mention that it can give you mouth cancer if you have a certain gene and can cause hair and teeth loss.

An addiction is an addiction, but it did sort of ease the process of quitting. Still, in the middle there I thought I was stuck on the gum for the rest of my life :X

I have successfully quit smoking...with the aid of starting to use dip. I wore patches then for some reason they started to make me sick and didn't really help breakthrough cravings. I tried the gum but it gives me the worst heartburn and not any real satisfaction, odd. I want to use gum or lozenges or something...cuz I want to quit using dip too. I only quit smoking cause I have asthma and it was making it hard to breathe....now I can breathe much better but I still crave nicotine. If the gum didn't give me mad heartburn I think it would actually help me.

A friend quit smoking 15 years ago, and she's still chewing thoses gums, 5 gums a day.
