*Attention Mods, I am NOT sourcing or asking about how/where to find drugs/prescription meds, I'm just looking for advice to treat my adhd in a healthy, non-abusive away* I feel this forum (OD) will give me the best help*
Okay, so I've always had a hard time concentrating on subjects and tasks. I've always found my mind just wandering..I'd start a task, then jump to another without finishing the previous task.. Also, I'd have a hard time paying attention to when people talk/communicate with me... They could be talking to me and It's like my mind does not soak up the info...
I've been like this since I was a child. It's played a toll on my education,social life, and employment.
It took it's toll on me in school..I'm an extremley smart kid (Interests in pharmacology,chem,how drugs work and how they effect ones brain, etc.) and even contemplated numerous times about becoming a Dentist
Not being able to concentrate etc. led me to drop out of high school...(which is absurd, because I know I'm more then smart enough to have stayed in, but I just cant stay concentrated/motivated to stay on tasks).
I got my ged....and now in a community college, but I'm having the SAME issues I did in high school and every day of my life.....add/adhd symptoms...
I went to the doctor twice, because the first doctor believed ADD/ADHD doesn't exist and its all in the head 8) . . . I made an appointment after that, and saw another doctor (he was a younger fella)...He said I do have the symptoms of ADD/ADHD but refused to treat me(prescribe me meds) unless I got tested for ADD/ADHD which costs 1200.00!!! Because add/adhd meds are scheduled substances and he obviously doesn't want to risk his medical license or something...
So what do I do? I do NOT want to obtain medication to abuse it... I want to obtain a legit prescription and use it in a healthy way. no BS.
I've been self medicating myself using street stimulants (Crystal Methamphetamine) and obviously it helps me concentrate just like adderall and other add/adhd meds do, but its illegal,unhealthy, and I'm sick of having to degrade myself to use hardcore drugs when I legitamitly need a legal prescription.
Any advice?

P.S. I dont have medical insurence, which limits me to use this one medical facility that accepts this program that I'm on...Which my info is in they're computers which will tell the next doctor i'll see that I've already been there twice for the same thing....He'll probably think "Damn, this guy wont give up on getting drugs"...which is BS because i'm not looking to abuse them.....I have friends who have prescriptions who abuse em/sell em...pisses me off because the people who need them can't get them....
