How important reason is the ability to write narcotic prescriptions when people consider studying medicine?

Would less people apply for medical school if doctors couldn't write narcotics?

Is this just a junkie's way of thinking?

I can't imagine it would factor into anyone's decision. There are much faster cheaper and easier ways to score drugs than medical school.

Although with the state of the opioid scene maybe it isn't so unimaginable that people would be willing to jump through such hoops for clean drugs.

Still, better to just marry a doctor if you can.

Like my brother 😂

Reminds me of that nurse who loved me song ..she's got everything I need, pharmacy keys.

How about you become a pharmacy technician pretty easy but oh boy talk about big trouble if stealing narcotics...any pharmacy will have a safe/timed safe. So pharmacist or tech may not help BUT say you work for a big company that ships out all sorts of meds including vetinarian meds...and you got some shit workers on the warehouse side that "just so happen to fuck up inventory counts"

I bet these ppl popping oxy and benzos more than we think...if I worked at said place and pain was on strong lord knows I'd act like I dropped an open bottle of oxy....lol just to pick them up and oops we're missing 10 pills???? I mean 18???? Haha I'd get fired fast

In western countries doctor can no longer write narcotics for patients with devastating injuries or disease without being arrested or at least losing their license

They sure as fuck aren’t going to write them to get high off them.

Chemistry is the career you’re looking for.

Doctors wont write them now. Too worried about their careers, in fact some doctors surgeries have signs out the front saying we won't prescribe opiate medication.

It is a massive issue for those who actually need them.
