I moved to michigan recently from California and I am having issues finding a pain management doctor to take over my care. Mostly because I am unemployed and don't have insurance right now hopefully that will change with Obamacare. I tried to go see a free clinic doctor but they basically don't want to treat me because of "cultural differences" that is their words... doctor thinks that my hip fracture and severe degenerative hip disease is not severe enough to be on oxycodone 40mg daily and ms contin 90mg daily. I've had pain since my injury when I was 22 but didn't seek treatment until I was 26... now i am 30. I am not sure what i should do at this point. i can't get a job because I'm in too much pain and i can't see a decent doctor who will help me. Anyone have some advice?

this will likely get closed as we arent really here to help you get drugs from doctors

worst case scenario go to a methadone clinic, research this yourself

"Cultural differences?" what, they don't like Californians? Is that a way of saying that you were medicated too liberally? There's got to be pain management doctors that take cash, I mean once you get some money coming in. I'm not too optimistic about Obamacare taking care of me since my Medicaid was canceled. Unless, by some miracle my disability claim is approved. It sucks having no insurance and I hope you can find some help soon.

If you left your old doctor on good terms give him a call and see if he will go to bat for you. Otherwise your gonna have to find a compassionate doctor or a shady doctor.

cultrural differences as people on Medicaid under Obama believing everyone should have it is a stereotype for the poor people, more prone to be addicts, mental health issues, etc..
