DOC - Marquis Reagent

So I have just happened upon some supposed DOC.

There has been so many false dawn with this one that I was wanting to confirm that it is the correct stuff.

to that end, does anyone have any definitive idea of what the Marquis reaction should be for DOC Hcl? I have read everywhere and I get things ranging from olive green to bright yellow so I'm unsure what to look for.

It does seem that the reactions for DOC and DOI are very similar so if anybody knows if any of the other commercially available testing kits would be able to cut DOI out of the equation I'm all ears.8)

Cheers, thats what I thought.
I've read somewhere they give the same reaction as their 2c counterpart which would be bang on, but the reaction is a bit too close to DOI to know for sure though. Does anyone know of a test that gives significant enough a difference between DOI and DOC to tell them apart?

I doubt someone will try to pass off DOI as DOC - it has enough of its own market anyway.

if you bought DOC and it reacted like a DOx, I think you can be safe it's probably DOC.
