Do you find that smoking alone is better than drinking alone?

I donno if its me but if i drink alone i'll see myself as an alchoolic but if i smoke alone, it's not that bad... maybe its just because i'm a stoner... what's ur opinion?
 
I drink alone and smoke alone and I don't get down on myself for either one. If either one made me feel bad about myself, I would quit.

Likewise. I drink alone because I don't feel like going out to a bar and paying for overpriced booze, not drinking any booze at all if I go alone, getting a DD/having a friend stay sober, and I'll get beer that will last me longer and it's cheaper than if I went out to a bar.
 
when i smoke or drink or do any drugs with friends i feel a different 'buzz' than i do when i do it by myself. I dont feel bad when i do it alone though.
 
w/o changing this into an alcohol vs weed thread I'd like to say the latter is far superior in many ways




secondly: i never liked drinking alone. Smoking alone is just as good if not better than with friends if u have good music.

true this. It is definatly a different experience when enjoyed with friends
 
I've habitually smoked pot alone for most of my Reefer smoking career... I prefer it, you can just relax and not have to worry about what your stoned mates are going to do.
 
Drinking alone and binge-drinking alone are two TOTALLY different activities.

End-of-the-day beers seem pretty normal, healthy and casual. Downing big glasses of scotch by yourself is an intense, often emotional experience. I've got to admit that I love both, but sometimes I do get down on myself when I go a little hard on the liquor before it's even dark out.

Smoking alone is great too.

Both substances take on different qualities when used alone vs with friends vs with strangers vs at parties vs with people who aren't using. I think I like all of those qualities to some degree or another.

i dont feel like an alcoholic when drinking alone, but it is definitely more fun to get drunk with friends, then get drunk alone
As with toking, its good to get high with friends too, but it isnt anything special anymore..its just as enjoyable to just relax, get blazed and burnout in front of the tube or puter by yerself
 
yeah i smoke all the time by myself but I would never drink by myself, since smoking is more of a relaxing drug for me, and alcohol is more of a social one.
 
I rarely drink alone. If I do it's 1 or 2 beers.

I smoke alone all the time.

Smoking alone is much better than drinking alone.
 
Drinking alone is ok, but the aftermath is depressing as all hell.. for me, its a 3 beer limit. I find with drinking, you need a lot of stimulus to enhance the buzz.

Smoking alone is entirely different and more acceptable imo.. its the only way I like to smoke.. Its a much more individualistic and creative feeling.
 
I been pressured out by my girlfriend to not smoke in groups.

Because everyone is drinking, and I'm smoking, and I just have really good conversations, but my gf thinks they are crazy ideas.

I have to start to smoke by myself, its cool, relaxing, but I hate when something stressfull happens, when I'm high, I get really angry inside, and that makes my high go all crazy.

I hate Pressure
 
maybe, just maybe, you shouldn't smoke if it makes you angry inside. It shouldn't be that way if you expect to enjoy it.
 
For me it goes like this:

Smoking alone (1 bowl or 1 joint of dank to myself): Awesome
  • Its so nice to come home from a long day and smoke a bowl as I start to unwind and relax.
  • If I have homework to do that involves reading/writing I love to take a few rips off the 1-hitter, it allows me to focus and not be so bored by the material, while at the same time not being too stoned to remember stuff I just read, ect.
  • Also great to smoke some alone and discover new music. The list goes on and on.

Smoking alone (.5g+ of dank to my dome alone): Not that into it. I'd much rather be hanging out with my friends or with the girlfriend. Yeah its fun, but thats only because smoking weed for me is pretty much always fun, but I usually end up trying to find something to do with someone because I feel constricted being alone and that high. Almost like I'm wasting a great high.

Drinking alone (1-3 beers): Can't argue with that. Monday Night Football, kick off the shoes and have a few brews. Paradise.

Drinking alone (5+ beers or hard liquor): Have only done it a few times before. A few times when I was just depressed about a woman or something classic like that, and few times just cuz I was bored.
  • Obviously works to drown your sorrows.
  • As for to have fun, I thought it was fun, but also kinda sad and lame at the same time. Also, similar to when I smoke alot alone, drinking alot alone makes me wana go out and have a good time with my friends/girlfriend as well.

Overall i'd say smoking alone (alot or a little), is far more enjoyable than drinking alone. However, I feel smoking is more enjoyable than drinking in general so that answer may be a tad bias.

btw to the OP: Hell yeah to the WRX!

Smoking weed alone is okay for me. I do it whenever I have a parent free house. Whenever i drink on my own i feel like an alcoholic. It doesnt seem cool.
