Do you advocate (TO AN EXTENT) the use of drugs

I like where this topic is going because I too think some psychs should be legal and more studied in theraputic settings. And I think first hand experience also has an effect on opinions.

As for all drugs being legal? Maybe it would be a good idea. I feel like if weed was legal (along with a plethora of others) EVERYWHERE drug violence would decrease. So would black market activity, dosent mean it will get rid of the black market entirely, but defi sy have an impact. I also think a lot of non violence drug related arrests wouldn't happen. I think that's a huge problem in law enforcement right now. As for all drugs being legal being safe. Idk. We have never been in a situation like that so its hard to really infer what its like.

I like psychedelic hallucinogen drugs. I don't really think they make you a genius or automatically cure your raging heroin addiction or open your 3rd eye/other hippy bullshit, but...for me personally, they just make me feel really good. They make me get really good warm fuzzy empathetic feelings for everyone I can think of, and I'm usually a cold, jaded cynical fuck. That class of drug is the most effective (short-term) anti-depressant I've ever experienced...the day after being high on strong psychedelics I feel so good that I'm almost manic...I'm still fascinated by that phenomenon, personally.

So yeah, I like those drugs a lot. If anyone does those drugs and has the same opinion on them as me, well, I think that's great. Just don't pay attention to the hippies who take such drugs way too "seriously", and think they give you some kind of amazing objective insight into the universe & God or something. With psychedelics there are a lot of people who don't take them seriously enough (and usually end up having a negative experience as a result) and a lot of people who take them way too seriously (and end up coming across as snobby weirdos LOL)

People that use acid are just a little more progressive -smells own fart-

But yea i hear you.. ppl that use psychs alot or have a profound experience on dmt often advocate it to the point of sounding snobbish..

Agree totally that legalizing drugs would essentially take out the black market. Which would lead to less violence and the prison population would plummet.

What i dont get tho is why the powers that be dont want to legalize them.. purely from an economic stance there is a stupid big number of money spent and unaccounted for in the black markrt that could be in their pockets instead.. unless the money made from big pharma is so substantial and they wouldnt make as much through legal drug sales..

In the end it is all about the money. No doubt about that..

^ why would Big Pharma lose money? They'd be making the rec drugs as well as other ones, wouldn't they? I also believe that from an economical perspective, governments should be interested in legalizing drugs, as well as from the criminal perspective.

Burnt Offerings: very good point, I agree with that.
