Do strech marks go away?

I've got them on my ass and hips

pics? =D <3

This "they never go away" talk is very depressing to me as I have some that go almost all the way up to my chest. Its disgusting! I have noticed the red part has gone away. Wont tanning make them MORE visable??

I was just noticing the stretch marks on my thighs (sudden weight gain at the onset of puberty), and I decided I would come up with a way to get rid of them. They are the number one killer of the appearance of my otherwise lovely legs. So, I hopped up on t3h int3rw3b and headed over to this forum and I'll be damned, this thread is at the top.

Fuck, I guess I'm stuck with these damn stretch marks, oh well, at least I'm a guy and don't have to deal with bikinis and such. Bright side right?

Ha! Any pic that I post of my ass and hips will definitely not be for the purpose of showing off my lovely stretch marks! ;)

I don't know about tanning, but fake tan helps quite a bit!

I got real bad strech marks all over my upper arms from years of pumping iron. I got up to putting up 300lbs without any suppliments at all. Ive laid off the weights mostly the past few years due to a fucked up shoulder but the stretch marks are still bad.

So ya 2 years later and they are still as visable as ever. Fucking sucks abit.

I used to have vertical stretch marks on my back, after I hit an extreme growth spurt in my early teens. Until I read this thread I had forgotten about them, I'm 21 now and looking in the mirror I can't seem to find any at all!

Unfortunately, I don't have any advice because I don't think I did anything special considering I pretty much leave my lower back alone. But there is hope, maybe after 6-8 years yours will fade as well.

I got them on my shoulders from weight lifting and using dbol, Rapid increase in size then back down to normal, is not good. Mine have not gone away, but then again i have not try to get rid of them.

You guys should try idebenone skin cream. There are some expensive commercial products with it, or you can just mix idebenone powder into any old brand of lotion/cream. Idebenone is closely related to Coenzyme Q10 and there is some scientific evidence and lots of anecdotal evidence that it can be effective at reducing the visibility of wrinkles, stretch marks, scars, and other blemishes faster than they would be reduced from time alone.

I was looking at mine in the mirror yesterday and I think they may actually be less noticeable these days. I credit the coconut oil and the MSM gel I use. I moisturise religiously, two times a day if I can. Maybe they'll be gone a year from now....

ive been looking for the coconut oil, but i cannot seem to find any, i went to my drug store and asked the worked and she said we dont carry that, that is overseas i do belive.

and I was like ohh, well do you have any cream thats good for skin and scras and strech marks? and she replied " im sorry i dont think so"

wow newfoundland canada suckssss

I have loads on my stomach area.... I put on alot of weight very quickly last year. Since then I have lost weight & some of the stretch marks have faded but are still visible in certain light. The rest are still red as I have more weight to lose to get back to my original weight.

I have about 10 going accross my stomach area. They're not very nice to look at & I really want them to fade. (I know they will never go away... just fade to a shiny skin colour)
My sister who is pregnant gave me some 'bio-oil' which she is using during her pregnancy. She said it would help. Hope it does!

Coconut oil will be found at the grocery store or health food store near the olive oil, not the drug store.

What Coolio said. Just make sure to get unrefined coconut oil and not the refined, bleached kind - it should smell like coconuts, if there's no smell then it's refined. I used the refined stuff for a good while, didn't moisturise as well IMO.
