do shrooms get better with experience

Personally I've never had a drop of anxiety on mushrooms. Less than on acid. Certainly less than on cannabis.

But then again I might just be weird that way, because many on this forum seem to disagree with me when I say shrooms feel less anxious than acid.

But I can tell you, mushrooms do not produce a similar headfuck that cannabis does. You won't go into thought loops or start to criticize yourself and everything that you do or think. Start with a low-moderate dosage in a good setting.

If you trip a lot and not live a lot then after a while you see little surfacing. Then all of it is stirred up, while you are fresh, receptive, unconditioned.
But if you take a break for some time and have life experiences unconscious / unprocessed material and conditioning is bound to bottle up again which invites for another therapy session.

I've noticed that phenomenon. One time I tripped on miprocin on two consecutive days. The first time was a confused, derealizing, anxious trip as is the norm for me on 4-x-tryptamines. The second day it was like the previous trip had washed my soul clean and I had a clear, vivid, calm trip like never before.

On LSD I feel like the clarity of thought allows me to examine my issues and work through them, consciously guiding myself towards a resolution. On 4-substituted tryptamines, my mind is scrambled to the point where any thinking is futile and I am left stuck in a whirlwind of my own negative emotions which I have no power to control or resolve.

I have a tendency towards derealization and 4-x-T's have made it worse for me, unlike LSD which was a polar opposite in this respect. The shroom mindfuck makes all of reality seem fake to me, whereas LSD shows the world in a fresh and clear light.

Nevertheless, I've always wondered whether when I've reached a better understanding of myself and of the psychedelic experience, I would be able to better enjoy mushrooms. Lately I've reached a much clearer point in my life and freed myself of much of my previous baggage, and with the help of LSD gained a better understanding of the psychedelic experience, so I'm thinking of giving shrooms another try.

Aye, shrooms can smack a person. They have a tendency to have a personality of their own, as mentioned. Sometimes they just decide to steer and there's not much you can do about it in that moment except ride with it. Where that ride goes really does depend on where you're at to start with. What's the condition of the vehicle so to speak.

I think they can be milder in some respects than lsd but in the spontaneously unpredictable category, too true they are up there.

ye i hear what you're saying it's just ive been depressed for so long its got to the point where every single second of the day is filled with intense boredom, and I dont know how much longer I can stay sober because it is so boring tbh.

I just feel like I have nothing to lose if you get what I mean. I can be worse mentally than I am but its like I havent felt any joy in life for years.

do you think i should start with 2grams of b+ then? would that be a sensible dose?

I don't think that mushrooms will help with that boredom. They might help you see certain patterns in your life that are causing this boredom, but once you comedown you still have to deal with these issues in a sober state. :\

First time I ever did mushrooms I took 7 grams and I went into the trip with the mantra "LET GO, JUST LET GO." That was one of the most profound experiences I've ever had. I started communicating with my father after that (2 years of not even speaking with the guy beforehand), I saved up enough money to buy my own car, and most importantly enrolled back in college and started up my education again. I'm not saying that the mushrooms did that all magically, but they did flip a switch that helped me accomplish the goals I had once set out to do.

I usually liken the whole psychedelic experience as time spent in class or therapy... it'll be valuable if you're truly interested and work to integrate it into your life, but if you're just dicking around it's kind of a waste of time and money.

I also look at the psychedelic experience as fun as hell, it's kind of how you look at it or want it to be, imo.

Good luck, write up a report if you finally do end up tripping
