Do depression meds interfere with the possible effects of other pills?

I've tried to get high off of different pills, like Percocet, Vicodin, OxyContin, even an oxycodone syrup. I can't even get a light buzz. So my question is, can depression and anti psychotic meds hinder the effects of other pills? I'm on seroquel, lithium, cymbalta, and a bunch of others. Any insight would be appreciated.

yes. anti-dopaminergics like seroquel can interfere with the effects of opioids. they halt dopamine which is released by opioids to trigger reward and pleasure.

Anti'd's will mess with mdma but as said your nti-phych meds 'which have not improved much if at all from chloropromazine sad they tend to fuck with everything. One of the only drug types I truly despise.

SSRI's fuck with a a lot of stuff. Especially DXM.

In this case I suspect that Cymbalta is more to blame than quietapine. I don't get GP's who prescribe Cymbalta for mundane forms of depression, as it was developed for heavyweight BPD Type I and MDD induced deep depression. Or olanzapine for transient insomnia... Ignorance or fear of legal retaliation if they dared prescribe benzos when clearly indicated? Annoying.
