Do binders/fillers make their way into your bloodstream when you plug?

I have been thinking about this for awhile, and I would like to know if binders and fillers make their way into your bloodstream when you rectally administer a solution containing dissolved pills (ie. oxy IR, morphine sulfate etc.). I know that IV'ing pills is not a good idea because the binders/fillers make their way into your lungs and other places they should not be and I want to know if rectal administration entails the same risks regarding binders/fillers in the bloodstream as IV use.

I know that when you swallow pills the binders/fillers are not absorbed by your stomach/intestines so the question is: does the membrane that absorbs drugs which are rectally administered allow these unwanted substances into the bloodstream similar to IV usage?

As far as i know, the dangers with IVing pills largely involve getting the non-soluble binders and fillers into your blood stream. When plugging, yes some water soluble binders/fillers will make their way into your blood stream but the undissolved stuff will make their way back out next time you relieve yourself. Generally, depending on the substance of course, the soluble binders wont pose any danger. They will be filtered out of your body. The undissolved binders that enter your blood stream while shooting up can build up in various organs like your lungs, i am unsure but possibly your heart.

So yes, the dangers of IVing pills are completely avoided by plugging, and will provide a much better rush than oral or sniffing with most drugs. Think about it, whatever is in the pills that will be absorbed via plugging will also absorb in the stomach or nose anyway.

Well a lot of binders and fillers stay in the cup when I plug. Maybe I don't know how to plug well, but normally morphine sulfate dissolves well in water before pugging (5/10 minutes), stir it up during this time and just before plugging.

But yes the syringe does absorb some binders (ie. the liquid is not clear), but the most part stays in the cup.

Well take ms contin for example, when it is dissolved in hot water the only things that appear are small balls of wax. Obviously those balls of wax won't be absorbed by the membrane in your rectum, anus, whatever it is called, but I have a hard time believing that there are not other binders and fillers that are dissolved into the solution that is plugged. The thing about it is that it does not make sense to ingest ms contin any other way because of the low bioavailability that orally taking this drug provides. Basically what I want to know is if plugging ms contin is a "sustainable" method of ingestion. If anybody could elaborate on this it would be greatly appreciated.

Sustainable as in you can keep doing it? Sure, why not? Perhaps I misunderstand the question?

What I mean by sustainable is: can I do this without causing the harm to myself that IV drug usage entails? I found the inactive ingredients present in ms contin and they are: cetostearyl alcohol, hydroxyethyl cellulose, hypromellose, magnesium stearate, polyethylene glycol, talc and titanium dioxide.

For example, if a person were to iv ms contin for an extended period of time without following the safest procedure there is (don't heat your pills, sterile injection habits, micron filtration) it is possible for them to develop talcosis (sp?) which from what I understand is a harmful buildup of talc in the lungs.

So this is my question as I could have been more clear earlier on...

If a person plugs morphine sulfate er on a regular basis and they heat the solution to defeat the wax matrix and dissolve it completely into a liquid form do they run the same risks as iv usage in regards to sicknesses that may be caused by the absorption of dissolved inactive ingredients through the membrane in the anus/rectum?

I'm hardly an expert on plugging, but I don't think that would be a problem. If it was just taking the pills as directed would likely cause the same problem.
