I have just come across someone who can sell me some DMT I have wanted to do some for ages and this is the first opertunity I have had I have spoken to a couple of people who have tried it and they both say it is absolutly mental the most intense trip they have ever had, (sounds like good honest fun to me) just wondered if anybody had any info on it they could share with me befor I try it. I have heard that DMT releases a hormone in your brain that is released when you are born and when you die how true is this. Any info would be gratefully received as I like to know as much as possible about a drug before i try it

i think DMT (and 5-meo-DMT) are ever present in the brain but in really tiny amounts, i don't know about it being a hormone. the trip you get depends on how you do it, i've done it twice and had two very nice but not intense trips. both times i've smoked it out of a lightbulb and in my opinion this isn't as good as a bong (which is best for 5-meo). what does your DMT look like? mine was a red goo, presumably a sap scraping.

DMT doesnt release a hormone that is involved in birth/death experiences... it IS the chemical that does these things. The pineal glad produces it in very small amounts, and releases it at very special stages of life.
I highly suggest a book called: "DMT: The spirit molecule", by Rick Strassman, M.D.
Dr. Strassman was involved in the LEGAl clinical trials done in the early 90s on IV DMT. I am presently ripping through the book, and am finding it to be a fantastic read.

It sounds like fantastic material. Thanks for the insight on this stuff. I have just ordered the book & can't wait to read it. I have never been into my tryptamines (i don't mean LSD), so this should be fascinating.
