dmt stability - freebase vs fumarate

what are the differences between the stability of the freebase for of dmt or the fumarate form of the compound? will the freebase degrade faster? if so how long? extra storage precautions like in the freezer, airtight, no light for extended periods of time?

Stored at room temp freebase has been perfectly fine after 6-12 months. Probably longer.

Stored in the freezer - years.
