DMT Extraction Thoughts

Hey all, I have recently extracted DMT using the STB method. I used this tek, https://wiki.dmt-nexus.me/Cyb's_Hybrid_ATB_'Salt'_Tek, without performing step 3, 4, or step 9, I just let the pans from step 8 just sit out and didn't have a fan blowing over them. My question is that I have smoked DMT before and the DMT that I have smoked was pure white however, the DMT that I have extracted is still fluffy but it has a hint of pink/purple in it. The naphtha which I was using also had this type of color so I was wondering if this would still be safe to smoke. When I froze my product I left it outside for 2 days under some snow so im not sure if maybe the change in temperature from night to day has caused some inefficiencies to occur or if it is just a normal thing to happen. I didn't recrystallize the material, but my friend actually extracted the same bark and got pure white while I got some purple/pinkish DMT. Also, if someone could tell me how to display an image I can show you what my extraction looks like. I'm just not sure how to attach an image lol.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Naptha should be clear should it not? Sometimes yellow after the extraction
Take some of the naptha, splash a bit on a glass plate or something and see if there is any residue after it evaporates.
If not, there's definitely some shit left over in your dmt
 
I think extraction from organic material will, at least with "usual effort" (that is without e.g. sophisticated chromatography) always result in a somewhat miscoloured substance. Extraction and synthesis of a compound are two different roads entirely.

I'm no expert in chemistry. Don't rely solely on my opinion.
 
I played around with all manor of ways, in yer circumstance I would follow what Holy Toast says to do....in addition a couple washes with water/sodium carbonate should get errr clean, heptane recrystallization is also dandy.

I was a big fan of just skipping all of that, I went with the 'get as much DMT out as fast as possible, in highest concentrations' method...so I would often using other solvents besides naptha, and convert the whole goop/lot to DMT fumarate via FASA method....cleaning it by mechanical separation, and multiple acetone/FASA washes, and then taking the clean salt and rebasing it (if I wanted the base). Of course, I was seeking a water soluble form of DMT so I didnt want to bother with freeze precipitating and all of those methods. I found it easier that way and it can be done on a large scale, or small.
 
Thinking of trying it orally or just smoking? I think orally is the best way of experiencing DMT.
