DMT/23mgs - Experienced - Time Continuations

This was from 23 mgs of DMT, sandwich method between lotus and all perfectly gotten all in one hit as
usual. I don't know how people take multiple hit. For me I have to get it all at once and after 30
seconds I am gone. Whether it is 15 mg or 30, I usually get it in one hit and just hold it. I have
discovered there is no "breakthrough" amount. It can happen on 20 mgs or not at all on 35. Again, I
feel the word breakthrough is misleading. Any amount of DMT is special and the intensity varies.
What's worse is I see people upset they did DMT but did not breakthrough to something that someone else
described. It is a personal subjective thing. I will say this, I realize a breakthrough (for me) when
I take the hit and go "oh shit, sit back" because it is going to be an intense one that lasts twice as
long.

I had an experience some time ago that I am still thinking about. Sometimes there is this notion in
some of my DMT trips that some trips continue right where another one left off. Not always, but that
is a theme in some. Sometimes DMT does what it wants, and decided this 23 mgs was for learning about
time and the continuation of events. Once this trip started I felt like it picked right up from a
previous trip months earlier without any time in between. It sort of showed me that's how life is for
me at least. It looks like a straight time continuum when I go about my life, for example when I
watch TV show that continues after a time and pick up where they left off, it seems like a straight
line with time in between. Sometime months are in between the episodes. Same thing with conversations
with people. Everything picks up where it left off, but much time can come between the occurrences. But
on some certain level things just continue from where they are.

In this one DMT trip all points of time converged. There was no time spaces between things and all
points immediately connected to all other points. Instant. But it is hard to remember because things
are back to being separated by time. But it was beautiful and left quite an impression. I saw how it
unfolded into the normal ordinary "monday morning" consciousness that I go about my daily life in,
seemingly having all events separated by time. The more I came back, the more I saw it unfold. I knew
I was witnessing something spectacular and that I would not remember it when I was fully down. But I
do still think about it.

I have been reading trip reports for years and figure it was "time" for me to type one up and put one out there.

I could relate to a lot in this report. The intensity of the trip can definitely vary even between identical doses, and for me seems to be more dependent on set/setting for the present period in my life. Thinking about how time, let alone on DMT, is always fascinating.

Enjoy DMT in any dose.

Been focusing on this, solid advice :)

Read years back in several places that DMT is really hard to smoke & in lots of places that 50-100mg is needed for a breakthrough.
Finally got to try some DMT this year & found a very easy to smoke 25mg of the freebase blew me away to a classic DMT state/breakthrough and I immediately grokked what everyone had been on about in there descriptions of it; Amazing stuff

If you touch the flame to it it burns and you need a lot more... I think a lot of people just know how to actually smoke things, and don't understand how to vaporize. If you hover the flame above you don't need to use a freebase pipe of some sort (though it's still even easier and better that way).

I was debating kicking up my own old thread but I didn't want to start a new thread and just continue this one. :) I also had to get this out to people I know read trip reports. Can't talk to anyone about this stuff and my wife finds it boring. lol

Two experiences with time have spun my head. Both had to do with time. The first one I described a space I ascended to where it clearly showed me that all things happen at once, it seemed impossible that events occurred one after the other. Everything happened at once and all things and points in time were connected. When I was in that space it seemed I was being "shown" that by a caring being. And it made me take note. Then when I came down it seemed impossible that all things happen at once and events did occur one after another and it showed me that too and made me take note. So I came down into a mind space where time did exist but it needed a mind to separate the events. A focused mind in the physical plane, coming back from a higher world (that seemed so natural and we already know it) to this specific time and place. But it also seemed time and timeless were the same. The time period did not matter.

Fast forward 3 years. I had an experience where I felt like I was sitting on the couch for 3 months after a hit (20 mgs). It was sort of scary, it felt like 3 months in my memory, so however our minds deal with time and stores the perception it seemed to make me feel I sat there for about 3 months through the prisms, fractals and billions of windows. It kind of made me nervous for my next trip. Whatever it was it stored a memory that the trip was months long even though it was 10 minutes and it felt just like that. 11 minutes later I felt like I just went through few months. lol Very strange. DMT does what it wants. I like some of the Nick Sand stories.

Thanks for sharing, I didn't see this one when you originally posted it. :) DMT is very special, very "right" and profound and its beauty is otherworldly. I was on mescaline the last time I did DMT (which was the first time in about 5 years), someone at a show I was at had a DMT vape dab pen. Every full hit was about 25mg I'm guessing. The closed-eye visuals I saw were easily the most complex and awe-inspiring I've ever seen, and when I opened my eyes, they were superimposed within everything I saw. Another time I smoked only about 10mg standing out on my deck in the summer, and everything turned into jewels in my vision, but the most profound thing was that every single noise I heard became part of this vast, cosmic rhythm, a rhythm that never actually turned over into a repeat, it just more and more vast and complex. It was so awe-inspiring, I have never experienced anything quite like it to this day.

Thanks Shadow, that is an interesting description. Yes, DMT is special at any amount too. Sometimes 12 mgs. has a lot to say. And 20-25 for me is very intense. I can never understand how people load up 50 mgs or go one after another with trips. 15 mgs. sometimes gives me a lot to chew on for a few weeks. I don't think there is a distinction between breakthrough and intense experience. If I forget for a few minutes that I am a human being sitting on a couch that just smoked DMT call it a breakthrough or intense. Most of the time I can not open my eyes because of watching the intensely visual journey. But a few times all I felt was pressure behind my eyes with no visuals and it forced me to open my eyes to where the room was covered in billions of fractals. So those times I feel I had to pay attention to the OEV's instead of the CEV's

I notice a lot of us talk about hieroglyphics. That is interesting. Like we are seeing a language. Sometimes I feel it does tell a story. I have to wonder what that is.

Also funny enough one night I was feeling fine on gabapentin and blasted off. Gabapentin has it's own type of pretty visuals (for those of us that use occasionally) and the DMT joined them and made the trip last about 30 minutes. They are worth a shot to try together. A beautiful world I saw, a little darker but absolutely beautiful.

Interestingly, I always get this inner dialogue with DMT that is this incredibly rapid glossolalia, just seemingly random syllables thrown together one after the other, moving very fast indeed. It's a strange effect I have not had on any other psychedelic before but that is standard for DMT. It's definitely like something is speaking very rapidly, and also incomprehensibly. The visuals I see are more these immensely deep and complex and impossibly detailed fractal patterns that morph and form rooms of sorts.

^ Neat Shadow, a language that is felt. I have had some similar experiences, sometimes the language is seen and other times it is heard, and when I really pay attention I can feel it. I have to wonder what that inner dialog is, random thoughts sped up, a genuine dimension with beings, or flat out hallucination? I have to wonder. One thing I won't do is say 100% what it is as if I know. lol :)
