I am still trying to figure out how the term 'emo' worked it's way into the piece.

Emo stands for 'emotive hardcore,' and is a derivitive of 80's hardcore punk in the D.C. scene.

So when you say, "Emo equals them," are you literally saying that the word 'emo' equals 'them' or are you simply saying, "Emo equals them?"
