Anybody having experiences with the aftermath of prolonged disso abuse? Like for months or years. I've done 3 years of high dose deschloroketamine straight and at first believed my brain was fried. Stuff got better but not like before, I am forgetful and craving the dissociatives. Tried to relapse and it works halfway, the cravings go away but the cognition issues remain. I do have ADHD diagnosed and it's currently untreated but I am not sure whether I really have it or not. Can't get stims at the moment because I am living abroad. I should learn a new language here and am struggling greatly. Don't know whether I should try again to get Vyvanse. Been sober for 3 years now and recently began relapsing with DXM, I miss my MXE and DCK but can't get them here so I use DXM.

I speak about Clonidine a lot on BL. Clonidine is the perfect alpha2 receptor drug for blood pressure/pulse, brain relaxant, stress relief, sleep aid, pain management, treatment of drug disorders (almost every drug), nerve disorders, headaches, anxiety, and is a excellent tag-along drug for opioids/benzos, sedatives/hypnotics/anti-histamines/ dissociatives/muscle relaxers.

Clonidine calms drug cravings very well. It is potent with a long half-life. It is not a sedative per-say but has predictable sedative effects. After being on it for 25 years, it still works as I need it, the sedative effects always work, and has helped me get through difficult times of chronic pain syndrome, 3 heart disorders, chronic eye infections, and mental health.

I have done my fair share of kitty and understand why it gets attention in all homes. Zanaflex (Alpha2 receptors/muscle relaxer) is similar but weaker. Xylazine is a derivative of Clonidine but Clonidine is 40 times stronger & is safe for humans. Alpha2 receptors drugs produce withdrawals compared to a mix of opioids & benzos. Clonidine is easy to taper down with it's long half-life and strength. Typical starting daily dosage is 0.1mg every 12hrs.

I used DXM like crazy after a break up in 2015. From about 2015-2022 I would do on at least 10-15, if not more, DXM trips a year.

And if I wasn't tripping on it, I was doing lower doses to potentiate/reset opioid tolerance.

I know it's not DCK, but my brain came out of it alright.

I actually think long term benzo use fucked up my memory & cognitive abilities worse than tripping on DXM. I was still pretty sharp, witty & clever during the periods where I wasn't doing any DXM during those years. But it wasn't until I started taking benzos almost every day back in 2023ish, that my memory just went to hell. And even my coordination has suffered.

Everyone's different though, so it's possible for you to have suffered some kind of issues where as I was fine. I think if you stay away from them long enough, your brain will eventually adapt & make new pathways & all that. It was actually hard for me to let go of DXM. I'd probably still be using it now, except I started noticing that every time I used it, I'd get a weird "costochondritis" like episode shortly after (tight chest, hurts when I breathe in, small body fever). Would usually last 3 days.

At first I didn't connect it to the DXM. But once I realized it was happening after every DXM trip, I decided to quit for almost 2 years & I haven't had another one of these "costochondritis" episodes since. Not sure if maybe megadosing a cough suppressant was fucking up my chest walls or something & causing it. No clue, but it's deterred me from touching DXM since.
