Disposing of materials after test

What do you recommend the best way to dispose of the reagents on the surface used after testing is complete, just wash it down my bathroom sink?

I always just use a White pot lid what i found when bottle digging,

I just wash it in the bathroom sink , and then dry with a piece of kitchen towel, should be fine then. Those reagents are very corrosive though, my little piece of paper that came with my test kit is crumbling away like a gooden now lol....
